It is normally DM that starts a postmortem thread, but this week I will................ I am not sure what I am thinking after watching that! We are playing well, we were by far the better team - by a country mile but we can't score. Okay, we can say Marshall had a really good game but ffs, how the hell did we not score? I like what CH is trying to do, because the shape looks much better but we are blunt up front, and I can't see what can be done to change that. We have 5 in midfield, and we control that part of the pitch, but if we play with 4, we are venerable. I am not convinced a lone striker is right for us, regardless of what all the other teams do. Yet at the same time I know a 4-4-2 leaves us a bit more open. Do we try 3-5-2, or is that to bold, or do we stick with what we are doing and hope things change? I really am at a loss now
No way we can really change it. It is also very well saying we need another forward to attack these chances but we wouldn't get the chances with a man out of midfield. I think having full-backs and wingers to overlap is an essential component of how we play so can't see a 3-5-2 either. I am bitterly disappointed we didn't beat Cardiff today. We were so much better than them but just couldn't catch a break. It's difficult but all we can do is hope that we start getting the results our performances deserve very soon.
Very frustrated that we didn't win that and how we didn't, I don't know. the goal at the end probably should have stood but I hope we'd have let then walk one through so I'm not fussed by it.
Feel like a loss that game and a game we really should have won. We pretty much dominated the game for 90 minutes created good chances and still didn't win. Not sure what more hughton could do, feel like we are playing well enough but just unable to score.
I didn't realise that you were now so desperate that you are happy to win through cheating and bad sportsmanship!
Don't think so myself. Of course as a Norwich fan I would wish the same misery on Ipswich as you would on Cardiff but it is pretty much an unwritten rule that if a team kicks it into touch for the opposition to have a player get treatment, then you give them the ball back.
This Swansea kid is ****ing livid and provides good entertainment lads. To be fair we are a very lucky taem today. A home win was deserved. Good luck for the rest of the season lads. Wish we had Snoddy and Pilkinton.
No desperation on our behalf. We've barely spoke about the throw in more about how we're playing in the final third nice try though
I think I would be more worried if the performances weren't there.everyone can see that the team had a greater shape and Hughton is doing a good job. Hopefully we will catch a break, continue to perform and turn these performances in to wins as the season continues. Just got a good feeling that it will come soon enough. Strangely feel like we may pull off a result next weekend against man city!
Tell that to the local businesses you ripped off twice you hypocritical jack Apologise to the Norwich fans and the Ipswich wums for that outburst.
Unlucky today but Malky is setting us up for teams to attack us and hoping the game remains goalless and we can get a set play
That's offensive and uncalled for. Your lot seem to do this far too often and whilst your mods allow you to deliver vulgar insults at other fans on the Cardiff board don't assume you vitriolic attitude will be welcomed by mods of other boards.
That sounds oddly familiar. Unfortunately for us today, if you were us last season, you'd have held out for 80 minutes only for your keeper/defence to mess something up and gift us a goal.
