Pope I've recently been to court with a Careless driving charge. When I went up to the JP court my lawyer was suppose to bring my licence with him which he forgot. He asked the Magistrate if they could use a print out which she accepted. I was to be endorsed 5 point along with my ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââ¬Â âââ‰â¢ÃÆÃâÃââÃÆââââ¬à ¡ÃâìÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâáÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¡ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã200 fine. I phoned the JP Court on Friday to tell them my licence had been returned to me by my lawyer and I was going down to pay the fine on monday. The girl on the phone told me that I would have to bring both parts of my licence with me so they could give me my points and also I would need it to pay my fine. Yesterday I went up to the JP Court to pay my fine with my Enforcement Letter and drivers licence. I handed both to the clerk and told her I was here to pay my fine and also to hand in my licence to have the points endorsed. She looked at the letter and said to me there's nothing here to suggest you have to have points endorsed on your enforcement letter. I asked her if there were points to be added would it have said so on the endorsement letter, to which she said yes it would have. What's your take on this? Should I play dumb and do nothing or will I need to fess up? Bollo
Lionel Hutz You're right Nev, I should just play dumb. That would be ****ing ace if I didn;t get those points but I think they may come back for them but I can just say I thought they were already added ,ok>
I've been on here since the forum started Pope. I've never been away. I'm obviously nothing of note here I've got a clean licence and have never had points on my licence. Cheers for the info. I've emailed my lawyer the details now
