    What have Newcastle got in common with female pandas? They're both black and white.

    What's the difference between Sunderland and female pandas? Only one of them won't be getting several humpings this year

    Annoying stewarding at football matches. Completely different ball game when you go to watch Durham Cricket Club. Every time I go they are so relaxed and helpful. The Ashes this summer being a case in point. We were there at 10am waiting at the bar. Got our beers and noted the sound of leather on willow coming from the nets. We sauntered over and asked the steward if we could squeeze through to get right up against the fence, beer in hand. "Oh aye no bother lads" Then Matthew Wade proceeded to have a bit banter and batter the ball at us for the craic.

    Of course they don't face the same challenges football grounds do. More people equals more idiots unfortunately. I have no doubt though at times the necessity of caution employed deepens the ill feeling.
