I don't know OLM, I can't do the pasting of previous posts, and I agree totally with Kempton. I'm therefore very happy to have OLM represent my views. The way I see it, Hull Tigers sounds like a Sunday league netball team and does not identify us a football club. There are many clubs of varying sports around the world called Tigers, it would not make us unique or marketable. I'm at a loss why the owner would suggest something so divisive at such a high point in our history, even if he does change it, the issue will never go away just like East Yorkshire/Humberside.
I don't post that much on here but OLM would have my full support , I don't really understand your problem Craig unless you want to do it yourself
Craig is right that OLM represents himself, not the Board. The criteria for invite however does not seem to about finding a diversity of opinion. The criteria appears to be the ringleaders of a minority campaign.
Craig OLM isn't even representing you. He's attending a meeting as opposition to the name change as a voice for other people on this board who also oppose te name change. It's got **** all to do with you, why do you give a ****? Cabbage.
I am against changing the name in any way shape or form. If there must be a compromise, or he moves straight to Hull Tigers, then I will move to supporting local amateur football; that has always been my stance and still is. I totally endorse OLM (for what that's worth) to represent this forum, as his passion and tenacity, coupled with his loyalty to the club, speaks volumes for the way in which everyone will be fairly represented in the discussions; I would expect his personal view to have some weight, but that is fair enough by me. I would only ask that if old man Allam is not for turning, then OLM should, in his own inimitable style, tell him he is a **** of the highest order.
You're an interesting chap. You abuse those who don't stick up for themselves, ie the Huddersfield situation. Now you're abusing people who are sticking up for themselves and their opinions. Are you a little confused?
It's a meeting between two sides with opposing views on a subject trying to convince each other why they're right. What would be the fûcking point in having a pro name changer in there just to lick Allams arse in praise over how good Hull Tigers sounds? Or would you rather the fans make Allams argument for him?
“I have been asked to attend as the representative of this board and I have accepted that invitation.” OLM
I thought Mr. Allam wanted to meet representatives of those fans against the name change so surely OLM is representative of those on this forum who are of the same opinion. When he wants to meet representatives of the groups who are for the name change and those who don't care he will ask.
Having followed, been a fan of, or supporter of, or whatever you want to call it, of Hull City AFC since the era of Raich Carter,Viggo Jenson etc.I am totally against any name change whatsoever. It was Hull City AFC then, previously and should remain so in the future. To say it will increase revenue,is in my opinion a load of bollocks, as has been stated on here umpteen times. I can see no evidence whatsoever where this would happen, apart from us being hugely successful, for a number of future years. I don't always agree with what OLM has to say, but I am quite happy for him to represent not 606 on my behalf and put forward our objections to Mr Allam's proposals. As for Craig, if he is not happy for OLM to represent us, perhaps he should present himself at the venue, prior to the meeting with who he thinks would be better equipped to argue the case.
