Read this story again in today's papers. What the hell his solicitor must have been smoking is beyond me. It appears he has pleaded not guilty in the Magistrates court (who can only impose a maximum 6 month sentence) and has requested his case go to trial at Crown court. His solicitor probably told him he's looking at custodial, meaning a few weeks behind bars and he's gone and tried to get 12 people and a national member of the Queens Council to appeal to their better nature and give him the benefit of the doubt. After discovering how stupid this bloke is, I'm starting think 12 months is nowhere near enough for this guy!
On a similar note, ten sunderland fans have been told they face prison after fighting with West Ham fans last season. It'll be interesting to see what the difference in sentences are.
If you had any brain cells you'd realise I've been critical of the law throughout and your reaction to the sentencing.
FFS, Albert's trying the 'boys will be boys' defence What does 'move on' actually mean on a chat forum where people are chatting about the latest news? Would you mind moving on yersel ..............
The difference being that it was the West Ham fans who kicked off in the first place and ended up getting a scudding..
Live by the sword etc ......... all of the people involved were there for a pre-arranged fight so the two cases aren't even similar. If they're locked up I doubt anyone will be making much of a fuss.
Stupid ****s doing stupid things outside the law ask for everything they get. He could have been out in a month but he was just too stupid to help himself. As for my reaction? What's the problem? Was it the emotion that knocked your nose out of joint or what?
