If a mod wants to close a thread then that's his choice it might not be popular at times but that's just tough **** I'm afraid.
I would have thought the thread has to break rules, surely mods cant close threads just based on their own personal preferences. that would be completely fascist imo. I don't think there was justification to close Sm1thy's thread based on suspicion, it broke no rules and was related to recent events that are important in football. Gerrez reasons given in the second thread Sm1thy created were obviously after the fact reasons, I was disappointed to be reading such nonsense, he closed it because he suspected it was having a pop at us in some way, not the bull**** reasons given in the other thread and then he just says kind of closed end of which confirms what I think about that type of modding.
I would accept it not give it as I have done nothing to apologise for. Look it could have been a hasty mistake on your part. we can move on. As Sisu said you cannot just close a totally innocent thread and cook up silly reasons for doing so. I'll accept your apology and move on.
whats the issue? closing thread, moving threads and deleting stuff is mods duties. altering what someone writes in any case is IMO not on... thats what someone off sporting witness would do this site is provided by a private individual and you use it at his discretion... the moderators are an extension of his policy. if they are not following policy and you complain then i'm sure mods get "demoted" as it were. Is there any question of moderators ever altering content? I don't know. now i read smithy's thread btw. the suspicions was ok imo and the thread had nothing to do with LFC. It was raised on our board about a game that was nothing to do with us and i for one think suspecting someone would state that "well lfc are racist you you must have a view" lets not go there... mods closed it.. i'm fine with it.
Which rules state threads must be LFC, you must be an LFC fan and that it must be a game we were involved in?
When have I EVER said in any of my many posts that LFC or their fans are racist? FFS this is totally out of order. i have never even thought that...
the unwritten ones. its more usual that fans of team stick to their team. frankly, if this were the spurs board this would not be being talked about. we are lucky to have mods that let you guys clown about and you are lucky that the vast majority of it is innocent and fun. When suarez is next in the news and the bbc feel the need to add all those bans on their articles just think back to the rubbish other fans.... like this guy we are talking about spout in bile and hatred and just think... hmmm gerrez was probably right you know. Dare I say it had swarbs turned up and posted it there would not be the suspicion.. simply put smithy has well since burned all his bridges and his chances for any benefit of doubt. again just my opinion.
That changes nothing, I thought as I did when I seen it closed, I am only saying it now because this thread was created. This is a forum, maybe some need to look up the meaning of the word.
