surprised at you Jacky- the response will be they all deserved it and if any did not they would have done so eventually. That said if we can prosecute police over hillsborough and washed up tv stsrs for kiddy fiddling then this all needs looking at again.

Always said we would get them in the long grass. The grass is now long. There will be many a homestead in North Down with an arse quivering ex UDR/RUC man squinting at the door. Good, I hope a few heart attacks are forthcoming
To be fair a good part of the British population thought that this was a fair way to carry out what they were encouraged to see by their own government as an anti terrorist poilcy. This culminated in the Gibraltar incident which was really reprisal for Brighton. Those of us who argued at the time that this was not only ineffective as it racked up the stakes, but also not a decent or credible way to conduct government policy, were shouted down by the Thatcherites and called the enemy within.
understandable but i would rather see them in the dock. It is easy for governments to make mealy mouthed apologies for things that happened centuries ago- lets see some action that might actually mean something. admittedly it wont be enough but at least it is a start.
Now I really don't give a **** about NI or the lunatic shenanigans that goes on there . However I do find it curious with the likes of what happened in Gibraltar that the Republicans were squealing about a shoot to kill policy being adopted by the UK gov. and forces . What kind of policy were the Republican forces using at the time ? Struck me as they weren't shooting to miss .
I agree, people who sign themselves up to fight wars can have no complaints when they are shot by an enemy army.
While it is clear collusion happened in some cases, the idea of it going right to the top seems a little far fetched, especially coming from a woman working at the Pat Finucane centre. For those that don't know Pat Finucane was a lawyer and IRA member that was murdered by loyalist paramilitaries. His family still deny that he was a member despite other former members claiming he was and his whole family being heavily involved in the Republican movement.
That's how I feel Mick. The PIRA took no prisoners so they can hardly point fingers when similar happens to them.
You do realsie that since banning me the amount of Irish related threads has increased. Stop being a twat and lift this ban. What did I say was wrong?
