Maybe I'm an idealist and would like to think they look at any attack on a person's rights the same, whether they're a member of the forces or not As Grandpops said earlier in the thread, I think this guy's punishment is about right, it's all the other ones that are too little that make it not sit right with me.
Really? I was only stating the fact that it's more severe than just punching a horse because by law the horse is classed as a police officer. You can't assault a police officer and expect to not get time. Nee bother mate. I didn't know the bit about police animals being regarded as officers so that does change things somewhat. In my opinion it's wrong that animals are regarded as equal or even more important than humans but that's by the by.
