I have just been told by a friend that QPR are going to or have bid 2.6million for Ashley Williams. Needs to be doubled before we consider it I recon. Not sure how much truth there is in this rumour, but he told me about the Graham deal on the day of the bus parade. So we shall see. Also, sorry for not putting it on the rumour thread, it's just I find I don't always check stickes, and so more people are likely to see this if it's in a thread of its own If its true I look pretty good also ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Oh, he's now just told me he heard off the guy from twitter. The western mail reporter......SO i don't look that good really do I breaking news fail me thinks
he is under contract, we dont need the money and it would cost us a lot more money to replace with someone of his quality. so therefore its a non-runner for me
yep, totaly. All though, when this guy was talking about taylor going I said no down right....it would never happen, and now, the more it's gone on, the more truth there is in it
He is going to be our club captain next season, this is not an upward move, its a sideways one with no real reason to go, they will have to at least double the amount, with maybe a 25% sell on clause, plus one of their better players coming to us
I've heard of some ridiculous offers in my time but this takes the biscuit. What next, £10m for Messi ?
Got to be up there with Derby bidding on Bodde Dillgaf , but even that pales to this one . Why even bother bidding really ?
Not enough money, we dont need to sell, hes not ging anywhere, end of story, there that was easy wasnt it!!!
I had to check to see if we did in fact get promoted, really anything under £5m is not a bid, we are not a championship side now, we have plenty of money not to be interested in this.
QPR won't bid much more, they are a joke, matter of fact this summer could be as good as the Muttonbrains of Derby with Bodde, with the Hoops, they have some structural financial problems, and they're so called sugar daddies, don't like spending, think HUW will have a field day with this lot!................ please log in to view this image
I reckon Huw will do the same thing he did last deadline day, turn his phone off! Haha. Quality old school business dealings.
Scott, Yea! Thats what everyone says about Huw isn't it. He's really hard to get a hold of. Loads of chairmen have said it! haha Even when i wrote to him he never wrote me back.
So we didnt sell him for 2 million to wolfsburg but now he has cemented himself as an International defender/the best Championship defender in a now premier league side.... swansea will let him go for an extra 600,000. Part of me hopes it's true cause we will not sell and it proves the lack of money given to Warnock!
There is plenty of reason to go to QPR. For a start it's in London. Many players would rather live and play in London than in a provincial town. London is one of the world's greatest cities and most people would be attracted by a job offer there.
Shows what a good chairman Huw is. He obviously spends his time running the club and not being at the beck and call of all those other chairmen. If there aren't any players for sale then he doesn't need to be wasting time answering the phone. It's just that most chairman can't understand plain English. Obviously he should have answered you Rhys, as I'm sure your letter was very important.
I am talking about in football terms, I don't believe that Ash would be tempted because it's Lindon, though it's nice in some ways there, most of the football players actually playing there don't actually live in London itself, they all commute for the most part.
This is what Tevez said about Manchester... Carlos Tevez seemingly calls time on his Manchester City career after telling an Argentine chat show host that the city is "small and wet" and that he would "not even return there on vacation". I can imagine some players thinking the same of Swansea. Even if some players don't live in London, they are within commuting distance of it. Even Scott Sinclair said there wasn't much to do in Swansea. I know that many people who live in Swansea love it, but for players that are more well traveled, it can seem like more than a bit of a dump.
Lol. Even if this pathetic attempt of a bid is true, do we honestly think A) HJ would accept and B) Ash would leave. It's a similar situation with Neil. We got both players to where they are today and I believe both are very loyal and wouldn't even consider jumping ship. The same goes for all of our players. They are all happy here and want a pop at the PL with us. Same goes for Pratters. If he really wanted to leave, he'd have gone by now. BTW - Everton have also bid £1 million for Neil.
