Speaking to a few mags yesterday has really changed my thinking about how id like us to approach the game. Both said they simply can't defend balls over the top or into the box Now bear in mind they are without Collocini and Mbwiwa im hoping we dust of that pre historic 4-4-2 for the day. Altidore with Fletcher playing off him. Id also bring Ki into the middle and put Gardner to right back for set piece threat and penalties.
Reluctantly id play Oshea as a derby probably isn't the time to play a new pairing.

    ........................Westwood........................
    Gardner......Oshea....Roberge.......Colback
    --------------Cattermole---Ki----------------
    Giaccherini--------------------------Johnson
    --------------Fletcher--Altidore-------------

Get the ball out wide and get it into the box as much as possible. Id also like to see Gardner drilling balls in behind from full back and hopefully the ref is fair and gives any fouls we deserve. I have a feeling Altidore will have a big game if he's picked.

    I can't wait now!!!!!

Swap O'Shea with Brown or Diakite and id be happy with that team.

Id usually drop Oshea without hesitation but im not sure Brown and Roberge have played together. I read Diakite looked completely disinterested for reserves and gave a goal away so not sure he's right for the derby.

Good points. Im not sure why Diakite's been frozen out, he looked one of our better players against Palace.
I was buzzing when we signed him and Cabral. I cant believe neither of them are in our first team plans.

In my head Diakite and Roberge should and could be our best pairing. Don't know what's happened there. As for Cabral, after that game against Spurs pre season I was convinced we had a real player there wed been missing for years. Even against Fulham he was our stand out player. I cam only think he has a terrible attitude.

Yes i think that is the case. He was man of the Match 2 years ago against United in the Champions league so he cant be that bad of a player.
He said in an interview pre season that he turned down Arsenal and Everton to sign for us cause he wanted to be guaranteed 1st team football.

He must be sick of his life at the minute. I really do feel for him and Giaccherini and that's not nice to think.

I don't like that - No-one should be "guaranteed" first team football (as such) If Ronaldo turned up here and played ****e all the time but was guaranteed a start then no-one would be happy. Attitude is everything and maybe players have a bad attitude. I don't like hearing players say "Guaranteed first team football" though - if he'd said "More chance of regular first team football" then that would've made me think "he wants to work hard to play"

Am I the only one who likes how confident the mag fans are?

I have a strange nothing to lose attitude but hoping we stick it to them and kick start our season.

But but but, thats what they always say we do. Idiots. Mind I would be confident playing a team in our situation.
