Thanks Bolton and Kiwi. These sites have good prices for Uggs at sensible prices (if that is a sensible price for a pair of slippers!). Have been wearing Uggs for over 40 years after an Aussie cousin gave me a pair, I am not home until they are on my feet (even have an old pair for gardening). Uggs are great but since they have become a fashion item and price has gone silly (like Hunter wellies) I found Kiwi Gear ones recently http://www.uggsbootsnz.com/ any they are every bit as good. I have had the misfortune to have worn other copies however when people have given them to me. Why don't we see more blokes wearing them, after all Aussie surfer blokes invented them so they must be butch? I don't wear mine outside as they are not waterproof and if I did I would not be allowed to wear them inside
Following the racism in Moscow last night, I know it's a UEFA competition and they have to come up with the punishment but I think FIFA should step in and threaten to take the 2018 World Cup from Russia if this continues. However, I do realise that given the farce surrounding the 2022 tournament in Qatar, Sepp Blatter won't want to have uncertainty around successive World Cups.
It's an absolute joke. Rusia must have been cock a hoop when Qatar got 2022 as they would have known that all the anger would have been focussed on the Qatari decision and any concerns levelled at russia could be dismissed as sour grapes generated by the defeated English. The racism, homophobia (Putin's enacted laws almost as draconian as Qatar) and general concerns over vistor saftey mean that a far harsher spotlight needs to be shone on Russia - let's hope someone takes action soon.
Good day all, just back from the garage with two new tyres. Don't think they last as long as they used to. Just went to drive off and the fan for the internal ventilation system packed up. Simple fuse gone I thought and so did the garage, but no it is not that, so another trip into town to get that sorted in the morning. I see that the French footballers in the top two divisions are going on strike at the end of November. The socialist government have got it wrong again and are bringing in a super-tax of 75%. It should have been in place already, but the courts ruled the way that it was set up was illegal. Already we have seen all types of high earners in industry, the arts and retailing leave the country, with a lot taking up residence in Belgium just a mile over the border. M. Hollande now has the lowest ratings of anyone in his role, with 80% of the public saying that he doesn't know what he is doing. His response to those leaving is that they should stay and hand over their money to him.
Just listened to an article on the topic on 5-Live. Apparently it is the clubs that will have to pay the tax and not the players and apart from a few mega-rich clubs, alll of the others are already financially stretched. Interesting was that Monaco will be exempt as they are not in France! - perhaps the other clubs should set-up in Belgium instead!
Monaco have not been very popular with the other clubs and the FFF. No one was too bothered about them when they were near the bottom of League 2, but things changed when they were bought by a mega rich man and because of the advantages of the tax system was able to attract an array of top players. The authorities want them to move into France, but have been told to get lost. Now they are at the top of League 1 with PSG less moans are heard about them. Somehow I am reminded that people thought we had an unfair advantage.
Morning all, just about to head to work. Have to go in early as I'm finishing early - I'm on the 5.50 flight to Gatwick with my boys, spending half term at my mum. Unlikely to be on here during that time, as my mum is having her computer fixed. Any WFC fans at the Leicester game, jerzeypie and I will be there in the Rookery, a few rows from the front, the Rous side of the goal - I had to make sure my guest had a reasonably good view of the pitch as it's my nephew and going to the match is his birthday present as he'll be 6 on Tuesday. Ak, thanks for the cups of tea. TTFN!

We have had a monsoon all morning, it was a beautiful sunny day yesterday. Fine concert by Mr Gabriel last night. No new songs but the old ones were given new treatments and the stageshow is always top notch. The new venue is a bit impersonal, bit like a stadium, bare concrete, but accoutically good and night & day compared to the conference centre tin shed. Enjoy your w/e's and if you have time off work enjoy that too, might get to see Woody Allens new film over the w/e. Then there is Monday night to look forward to.... I hope.
Aside from all that, did anyone actually watch the match and hear what was allegedly chanted? The only press reports that I can find suggest that Yaya Toure was the only player to have heard anything - no-one else connected with Man City has commented, and one of his own countrymen in the CSKA team has apparently said that Toure was exaggerating things. CSKA officials are perplexed by the claim and it does seem strange that no-one else is backing Toure.
Just how did they get a sponser who pulls the plug! "With the match poised at 0-0 after a lacklustre opening 45 minutes, Ross County's Global Energy Stadium was plunged into darkness." Match Abandoned.
