Agree Luton need to be added to this list, but why Port Vale...they gave us such a great comeback! Also, why Southampton?

Because Flyer hates them. They are his local team.

Port Vale (and Grimsby) is to do with various clashes we have had with their fans.
It went off pretty nasty up at their place a good few years back involving a couple of stabbings.

Not going to argue with that.

When was that? Is a good few years ago in the 80's or 90's?

Well that makes a very welcome change to the season when we were the last team to secure a win in the league - any league!!

As to hate? Millwall. Nuff said.

I went to Luton about 87/88 for a cup replay with them. In the station waiting for somebody to arrive off a train and right in front of my eyes I saw two QPR fans get their faces slashed with Stanley knives. On the walk down to the ground, there was blood all over the place. In the ground there were missiles getting thrown both ways between the fans. After the match, I witnessed hundreds of QPR fans get involved in the violence. It was the worst I ever witnessed first hand. I have never been back to LooTown since.

And the bookies fancy them too! I think this may the first game that the bookies reckon we might lose this season. Happy to be corrected if that is wrong.

If memory serves me right it was late 90's (Though not certain). Grimsby was later that the feud started (Think one of their coaches got it windows smashed in on a visit here)

Remember the Luton match Fing talks about very well. Think it was during the period that away fans were banned there but as it was a cup game they had to let us in. Was one of the worst cases of football violence in England I've seen, with 3 or so stabbed, loads slashed and 'jif' squeezy lemon bottles filled with bleach or ammonia being used more than once.
To be honest, both sides were no angels.

'Appen I'm a Cavalier too. Can still hear my old Grandmother threatening us kids at bedtime with "get to bed or Cromwell will get ye"!

I think our tactics should be to induce the cocky Roundheads, intoxicated with recent success, to attack and then launch a counter when their momentum subsides.

Then with our superior marksmen, we can pick 'em off at will.

I am a bit late, but they have tried to batter us every time we have played them. On particular season, they were attacking even women and children. After the nineties, as well. Still nowhere near as bad as Looton, admittedly.

Is it worth deleting this thread, so it doesn't haunt us everytime we look on here...a constant reminder of happier times gone by!

Horrible week end. We lost our virginity and the Fake Club of Rome (AS Roma) is now with 9 successive wins.
