Was he pushed or did he jump? Less than one year in charge and the whinging, whining pillock departs, hehehehe.
Crystal Palace FC @Official_CPFC SP: Ian's contract at Crystal Palace has come to an end by mutual consent CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES!!!!!
Anyone like to guess who said this? “Supporting Palace has a certain cult value – like pretending that some Peruvian rock band is the best in the world.”
The price of promotion i'm afraid, if you had won the playoff final it may well be Zola on his bike I fully expect Palace to go down now
I have every confidence that if we were in Palarse's position, Zola would not have been sacked. We have been in the Premiership twice and neither time saw our manager sacked until at least a season after we came down. Do not confuse your West London "Hire & Fire" philosophy with ours.
Repped! The Pozzo's seem to have a lot more sticking power than most modern owners and have trusted Zola to do a job and obviously have faith that the will do it.
It seems that several of their fans think that they could tempt GFZ to go and take over there. Although very strange things happen on the managers merry-go-round, I think that they are deluding themselves.
So they want a manager that 5 months ago was, according to many Palarse fans, comprehensively out-thought at Wembley by the manager that they have just sacked? How does that work?
If we'd been promoted we wouldnt have been in palarses sorry position, better players, better manager just a much better setup for the prem, palarsse are like watford were when we went up a good battling promotion side but no prem quality and in their case a clueless whinging ertha kit of a boss.. Good riddance to bad rubbish
Listening to Dobby after the announcement it sounds like he just threw the towel in. I have no problem with Palace, but I cannot stand that horrible little troll. I've never found him in the least bit funny and I've never rated him as a manager. Hope he just finds a rock now, crawls under it and stays there.
i said he'd be next. his constant railing against everything was embarrassing and clearly the owners agreed. compare it to GT and Aidy who were philosophical about it and tried to enjoy the ride.
Sounds like a quitter. Leave when the going gets tough after taking all the glory. Next bloke is going to be forced to work with the rubbish Holloway brought in.
As a player and manager he's shown he's far from being a quitter. Though he's not done a good job at Palace including last season it still needed below par performances from Brighton and, quite frankly, a bottling in the final to get over the line having taken over a team that looked good for automatic promotion, his record is a good one. The game needs characters and he's a good bloke too. If you want to hate him for a few comments that a lot of people agreed with then go for it. There aren't many managers who would acknowledge they got it wrong and fall on their sword.
what Bloother said. Watford_R - the bloke has time and time again proved he's a bit of a baffoon, his comments about Watford was just one of many examples where he proved he had no idea what he was talking about. For his comments though, we are eternally grateful. If it wasn't for him, the ability to loan so many from abroad might never have been looked at, and anyone could have done it..now noone can, Watford are the only team to benefit. It's not often i take my hat off to the whinging oaf, but yay Holloway in that instance
