Are the general public finally coming around to the idea that Zlatan really is one of the absolute best in the world? I hope so.

They should still get out of that group, but they'll now be forced to play a competitive squad for at least one additional game...and with their ridiculous December looming, that's not good.

Just something to think about, the Champions League TV deal has just doubled, which means a load more money to teams involved, and if you make the group stage, you really are laughing. Obviously the spending power of the top four has just increased, and this is Nicola's target (not saying it will happen this year, but he will want continued progress towards it). So does this mean we will now invest even more in pursuit of that very large pot.

 

Seems like a big blow to equality, and even if we ended up being beneficiaries of this, I don't think I could approve.

If we get close to it this season, I can't see Nicola and the Liebherr's making the same mistakes as Newcastle and not investing.

 

It is Nicola who is the driving force...he has shown Katerina that so far he is right.

 

He's shown all of us so far that he's right, despite what we may have been thinking at the time!

 

Very soon after He and Markus took over i realised that these guys were right on the money. I'm not always a good judge of character, but I got this one smack on. The sackings have surprised me each time they have come along, purely in their shock value, but I've quickly regrouped and supported every decision. Put simply, the guy knows what he is doing, better than any of us, and if he makes any decision you can bet your bottom dollar it is almost certainly the right one.

I am by no means a yes-man, but the guy is at the coalface, has all the information, and is far more qualified than any of us. Safe hands, if any are.

 

That's the type of shot/goal that you could sit in front of all night, endlessly repeating, with perhaps a beer or a whisky nearby, and it wouldn't pall in the slightest. I'm looking at it now and I'm still marvelling. It is the acme of balance, poise, power and execution. It is perfection.

 

We are INCREDIBLY lucky to have him, and even luckier to have kept hold of him. Best chairman in football worldwide right now. In my opinion!
