I can see his point at being nothing more than a hindrance, that's the way the club has been due to mismanagement & bad owners & chairmen in all the years I've supported it, it really does hurt to say those things, as for the supporters, every club has them, the difference is, supporters at clubs like ours accept defeat & don't spit their dummies out when things don't go their way. It must have been nice for Ferguson to have had the backing of the FA for league matches, you just have to look at the decisions from referees that have gone their way, I think on the whole Ferguson is full of ****, always has been & always will be, really went off him when he complained about the way we did the posnan when Man City took the title a couple of years ago, in the same season we took 4 points off city!
To be honest, I actually didn't mind Fergie, I know alot a people couldn't stand the man, but for a guy who builds one successful team after another in my mind has to have something about him. However, if this report is true, then any respect I had will have gone in a second. As a bloke born in Houghton, Sunderland are my home town team. I couldn't dream of supporting any other side. For the man to belittle my football club is beyond contempt. The TRUE fans of this world are the ones who support teams like Sunderland, teams who have gone years without any success, not gloryseekers who jump onto any team who are "fashionable". It sickens me to see men here in the UAE walking around with MUFC, Man City and Chelsea shirts on. Also one of the guys I play golf with who has Man Utd head covers......he is from Crawley, never spent a day in Manchester in his life. I'll stick with Sunderland Fergie, I would rather be true my roots and myself and support a team whose supporters in the main KNOW where Sunderland are as a club, we don't have ideas above our station at all. Just look at our history (yes we have a great one) there's nothing wrong in hoping a once powerhouse in English football can capture former glorys, even tho most of probably doubt it will happen. Rant over!!

I won't be reading his book. His blatant lie about Sunderland fans pushing for the 'purchase' of Scholes completely null and voids the whole book as bullshite. It needs putting in the fiction section.
