Talking of his dig at Dalglish over the Evra business, I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned his steadfast support for Schmeical over the Wright case, and his advice to him to say nothing. This even though two lip-readers stated that Schmeical called Wright a black bastard. Clearly there was at least as much evidence against Schmeical as there was against Terry, but Martin Luther Ferguson had obviously changed his stance on these things in the intervening 15 years. And conveniently for him, so had the press, and lost their memories too - as they still appear to have now.
