But we're not looking to be promoted to the Championship... And if he did such a fantastic job there, why was he trying to get away before being sent on 'gardening leave'?
He was offered the Leicester job and spoke to them why he was still at Rangers. He decided that he wanted to stay at Rangers but he was was not forgiven for talking to Leicester. He has proved himself to be a good manager outside the premiership
Palarse have called a news conference for 1730 - must be bye bye Hollowhead! Shame really, they may improve now!
Indeed. More to the point I ask myself if my team was second and playing in a top of the table clash at the weekend would i be on the forum of another team telling them who their next manager should be when they have absolutely no intention of sacking the present one? Something tells me not.......
Just why we would want to copy a club who have amongst its illustrious list of managers Ian Holloway, Iain Dowie, Mick Harford and Neil Warnock is beyond me - four managers I would hate to see at Watford - not to mention Harry Redknapp and Mark Hughes
Agree with all 6 of those harry - would be a very sad day if any of those darkened our doors. I can't see the pozzos entertaining any of them to be honest.
Hughes, Dowie, Harford correct Redknapp, Warnock, Holloway are all managers that could get you promoted, whether you like them or not
Did he say they couldn't? No - he simply said he wouldn't want them here and I totally agree with him. The other thing, of course is that, the tax cheat apart, even if they did get you up they are more than likely to take you straight back down again. We're very happy with waht we ahve at the moment and there's no need whatsoever for us to think about having managers who would be completely unwelcome at the vic regardless of their possible success
It was one of your posters who brought up all those former QPR managers. And you are right in the fact that Holloway and Warnock have struggled in the premiership. I think they are managers who work better with average players rather than the foreign players who want to come for the money and dive all over the place. Harry has experience at all levels of managing and would not struggle in the premiership unless the squad is not good enough. I think Stoke will struggle to stay up this season with Hughes in charge.
1) We have neither so those two would be no good for us. 2) Any manager would struggle in the premiership if the squad wasn't good enough - as he has proven with both your lot and Southampton...
