I would be happy with a draw, a last minute equaliser from Saylor would be sheer hilarity. The sheer ****iness of his celebration would make it worth while.

 

Think this game could be deciding for both our seasons. If Sunderland somehow win and be it through dubious penalty and sending of it could turn their season around, at the same time if we perform and beat them soundly... it will solidify our form, set us up nicely and condemn sunderland pretty much.

 

We should be beating them.

We're the better team, we have a good attacking threat as our esteemed leader keeps reminding us and they've conceded 20 goals in just 8 games. It would be worse than the 0-3 if fail to win as they're in a much, much worse state now than they were last season.

Plus we had the Benfica game just 3 days before last years match which clearly took a lot out of the players last time around.

I expect us to win and will be hugely disappointed if we don't.

Why do I get a feeling we will **** this up.

 

Fans on both sides will be hugely disappointed if their team doesn't win. The game means more to the fans than it does to the players. The fans have been supporting the teams longer than the players have been playing for the teams and it'll just be like another game for some of the guys. Taylor is one guy that knows what it means and he'll no doubt try to impress it upon the newer guys how important it is to win this one for bragging rights.

Can it get any funnier? Attacked from within. The 3 bands of fans are hilarious and in the main bang on.

Not very sporting of them.

 

Now we obviously come in for some ire regarding our penchant for sacking managers from old sour face in his new book. I don't really have much time for his ****e but if this is a real excerpt from the book then he has gone way up in my estimation

Have to say was sent by a mate who loves a bit mackem bashing so pinch of salt and all that:

‘I had good relationships with most other clubs but none more so than with Sunderland. At least until the last five years of my career. We’d give them good deals on our fringe players or ageing players, and in return they’d take some of our youngsters on loan give them Premier League experience. Unfortunately they got greedy in asking for Scholesy when he still had a couple of years left in him. I was never going to agree to that, but they didn’t take the hint and came back in every transfer window, mainly because their fans “wanted” him.

They’re an odd lot let me tell you; ideas above their station yet supporting a team who are nothing more than a hindrance even when at their best under Peter Reid. Priceless. Basically they are delusional and I mugged them off.

He reckons he also said of us:
