nah hes already forgotten losing at home to the mighty Basle . or maybe hes just a tw@t. yeah that'll be it .
Back to reality with a bit of a bump. Against the best this is what happens, you can knock off for a second or you get killed. Ramsey learnt that lesson today and the second was classic Dortmund. Also feel we missed the pace of either Walcott or the OX tonight, because without them we lacked variety in our game and Dortmund were never stretched.
Just think we could be Sp*rs off to Sheriff, we played against Reus and Lewandowski, they will be playing Deputy Dawg, Dick Dastardly and Boo Boo. *Shamelessly pinched from twitter.
True. Hopefully he'll be back by the time of the away leg (Flamini was missed too). A good game and some lessons will be learnt, next up is Palace and well.....if things go to plan, I'll feel bad for them.
i thought we lacked a little commitment tonite , A lot of the challenges , tackles , were half hearted . When we picked up the pace we were much more threatening . When it was 1-1 we seemed to slow again and that was just wrong. Oh well , onwards and upwards . COYG
Also think it's going to actually easier to play Dortmund away from home, because we can just sit back and invite them on. Need to play Arteta and Flamini in the side, also hope that Walcott manages to get himself fit by then. A point would do there, because we should easily beat Marseille at home, that would give us ten points, needing maybe another point to go through.
IMO enough to qualify, Draw v BVB, Win vs Marseille, Draw v Napoli. To win the group, Beat BVB and Marseille, Draw v Napoli. The latter is highly do-able though I feel we'll do the former.
I think we can beat Napoli, which should mean that a draw in Dortmund would be enough as long as we get a result against Marseille. I thought we were desperately unlucky to lose tonight. If Santi's shot had been a couple of inches lower we would have come away with the three points.
Losing against last seasons runners up when we have so many players injured and the rest tired because they have to play 2 games a week is not the end of the world. We will have Walcott and Flamini hopefully when we go there which could completely change the game. Other than that I think today showed we need to buy a world class striker as Giroud is just not at the top level.
indeed , the only reason they ARE londons only cl winners is because they manged to stifle football for 90 minutes . Biggest blue bus ever parked . They got some front calling themselves european champions . Londons only CL champions to fail to get out of the groups the following year ....speaks volumes about their " victory " . Fluke of the century comes to mind .
So i see some of you are happy with how we played tonight, which leads me to believe you're not real fans. What i learnt was: -Ramsey was dire, absolutely awful showing -Ozil's not as good as Santi -Wenger still hasn't got a clue tactically -Giroud did his normal trick of scoring then buggering off
Giroud had a good game, one of our better players. I say our lack of pace down the wings hurt us more.
No Hans, we're just not doom-mongering ****s who panic at any little thing and questioning someone's loyalty is ****ing pathetic, twatish and sad
I'm not panicking, i said all along that Dortmund were better than us in every single way, and i got proved right. They set up perfectly, we only really had 2 shots on goal (Rosicky and Cazorla) and our goal came from their keeper ****ing up. Wenger got outcoached by Klopp's number 2, that's pretty poor, even for Wenger.
Don't think you deserved to lose that game tonight. You should have had at least a draw on the balance of play plus Lewandowski should have been sent off for that elbow. Surely the ref gives nothing for a challenge like that or it should be a red?
