Both Warnock and Byram were given free reign down the wings when we had the ball making it a 3-5-2. When defending they dropped deep and became full backs 5-3-1-1

I thought LEES was much better at RB as he seems to loose concentration at CB WHEREAS today he saved at least 2 goals

Lees was right back ... when they attacked down our left, Lees shifted into a third CB role and Byram dropped into RB, otherwise it was Byram at RM pushing on ... Lees at RB also sorted out the problem with diagonal high balls onto our RB, he won all his headers and Brum ran out of ideas ... nice to see Zigic totally ineffective

3-5-2/5-3-2 mate <ok> the formation I have been saying for a little while now. Its the formation that suits our team best imo and gave us that added width going forward as well as the ability to defend against width better.

A great performance though, personally I think Mowatt was possibly the best player on the pitch again. From what I have seen he has very big things ahead in his career.

Whitejock <ok> obviously someone that understands the game, a very clever tactic by BMD, SB goes on a run Lees covers the pocket thats void and he does not have to scamper back, then having Smith and McCormack up front is going to cause any team problems, bet he does not change it against the Tesco bags next week.

Got to agree with Josh, Mowatt has a very bright future in front of him, we have to get out of this division quickly or the likes of him and Byram shall be gone.

My favourite part of yesterday was that we gave them a proper hammering. We didn't do that to any team during colins entire time in charge

Spot on. We have got to break the cycle of flogging our good ones, or at least till we get four or five years value from them

Looks a good spot Jock, although I couldn't see it myself. Whatever it was, it gave us our best performance in a league match for ages. So hats off to BMD

Missed a cracker. Had to listen to it on the car radio in the valley of Darley - not good, but great result.

Son played up front for first 60 minutes, dropped back to centre mid - usual position - for last 30. Made the first and scored the other 3 in a 4-1 win. Not a bad afternoon at all.

Get him down to Elland Road now! Yes I know it is in the middle of the night there, but what's your point?

He's starting to remind me of a young Paul Gascoigne. Super touch, dribbling ability, unbelievable passing ability with both feet, fantastic vision, gets the ball and drops his shoulder and suddenly he's in space, shoots and heads, draws fouls like Messi and Diouf, strength as well as technical, and while up front, knows how to get in space and make great runs. But he's missed the boat - 18 in December, but he is getting better every game.

No use going to LUFC - he's done it many times, but they are never looking at technical ability, and the others there don't bother passing, or returning the ball. Or they are there with their mates and my son stands around in space but never gets the ball.

He has the Spanish mentality of football rather than the English one, so has been overlooked by managers throughout his life, mainly cos the rest of the players just hoof the ball past midfield and always just wanted strength. But none of the rest can pass the bloody ball!

Maybe when he is at Uni he will play with better players who know how to play proper football, and he will really prove his worth

Sheldon, not being funny mate but what was the last player LUFC produced that was big and physical, that style of player doesn't tend to come through our ranks, they are all technically good players there so I don't think you can say that. I'm not gonna discuss your son's ability (although it does sound like he should have been playing for England by now with your description <laugh>) but I will disagree with your assessment of our academy
