It doesn't matter who they were selected by, what matters is that they are just that, selected quotes. Not heard many quotes from it where he's complimentary have we? Wonder why? Because it doesn't make good copy. You're basing your proof on only a minor portion on what has been written. I would suggest reading it before being so adamant. If it then proves to you he's a **** then fair enough, but least you can back up what you say.
i'm not, he's on about loyalty, when the tough got going for him at Sunderland, he left, he also had a go at the young players at Utd on MUTV.
At the end of the day if they aren't performing to the highest of standards that Keane set when in a Utd shirt then surely they deserve to be criticised, and given what he achieved and led the club too during his career he has more than earned the right to criticise the current squad etc. That's the trouble with today's players, happily take the rewards and glory but are crybabies when they get criticised for poor performances.
Hold on, so it's essentially ok for Keane but not Ferguson? Do you have an idea of what Keane said, about whom and when? So you know, he went onto the club TV station while he was injured, playing ****e and generally contributing nothing and slagged off Wes Brown and Darren Fletcher, to name a couple. This was the Darren Fletcher who at the time was about 21 and trying his hardest to fill the boots of the great Roy Keane. But yeah, he probably deserved it. Just what the club captain should be doing that.
Not 10+ years after he sold players who contributed heavily into winning trophies at the club. Also how do you know what was said on MUTV? I thought it was never made public? There must have been valid reasons why he said what he did, of which nobody outside the club was privy too
Do you honestly think it has never been leaked what Keane said? So, to sum up, Keane earned his right to slag off players he shared a dressing room with because of the success he brought to the club yet Ferguson hasn't earned the right to comment on his former players? The privilege of having brought success to the club doesn't apply here then?
Difference is that Keane said what he said 10+ years ago and Fergie is coming across as a bitter old broken record spewing out the same rhetoric in every book he has written
What utter bollocks. You're talking ****, you have no knowledge whatsoever on the subject. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course but yours would be that bit more authentic if you weren't just guessing. You could also try reading the book instead of taking some quotes and saying that that IS the content of the book. You're not the first to do that of course, you should join in with the wailing halfwits on the Liverpool board. If you're quick you can join in with their vigil for Stevie G as Fergie doesn't think he is world class
What a load of utter ****e. Some people are complete twats. I'm just glad that a senile old alcoholic can wind such level headed well rounded people up.
I know Ruff, and I'd expect him to ruffle a few feathers, but the quotes that have been selected aren't exactly pleasent are they? I just don't see why he feels the need to mention certain things. I understand him commenting on his ex players, but not United's rivals' ex players. Needless like I said. He could give me a personal glowing reference somewhere in the book and I'd still think ill of the comments released. It doesn't prove he's a **** btw, like I said I already thought he was a knobhead. The quotes haven't defined that!
Had an hour plus drive in to work this morning so listened to talk sport. Alan Brazil is absolutely determined that he's going to make one enormous deal about how this is bad for United and it's bad for David Moyes. How is that then? It'll be on sale in the club shop before Christmas, guaranteed. Other than that, and so far I've just heard the highly 'incendiary' quotes being repeated every thirty seconds by talk sport, we've found out Roy Keane is a ****, David Beckham was more interested in celebrity, Mark Bosnich was a fat waste of space and Wayne Rooney wasn't playing well enough to justify his position last season. Big ****ing deal, nothing we did not already know.
So then do you think Keane was wrong to criticise the players after getting hammered 4-1 against Middlesbrough or weren't you supporting Utd then
What we can agree on however is that Gerrard is head and shoulders above any CM player that Fergie has brought to Utd in the past 10 years.
Yes, he was wrong. He was supposed to be their club captain, they were young players. I've supported United, my local club five miles from where I was brought up, for thirty five years. You ****ing halfwit.
