That"s right. Tim Sherwood's behaviour was quite startling, but Archer's reaction was a real rush of blood to the head. They basically had a shouting match, Sherwood from the touch line and Archer in his goal. Archer then got hooked for telling Sherwood to **** off and when he went off, had to be held back from Sherwood !!!!!!!!!
Yes it was Ball who conceded the penalty. It seemed as if Sherwood blamed Archer in some way and then he started yelling at him for not saving it. After that he was on his back a couple of times and suddenly Archer just lost it and told him where to go.
Very professional all round, then! On the opposite end of the scale, I've just seen that Friedel and Townsend turned up to offer their support to the side. Bit of a contrast.
I didn't see Friedel there, but he has certainly watched this side in the past. Andros Townsend was there which I thought showed a nice down to earth touch from him. When he was with us, Jake Livermore was a frequent watcher of the matches.
"When he was with us, Jake Livermore was a frequent watcher of the matches." Mainly from CB. Good job I am not Spurs manager. I would have a "mentor" scheme, whereby seniors would have to watch their charges at U21 home games (as/when their own match commitments allow) . BAE would love that.
Adebayor was at the U21 game against Citeh. Though I suspect he hung around after training so he could have a chat with Viera etc. But I do like the mentoring concept, with the notion of a senior watching an Academy charge who gets the comment/feedback from someone who plays in exactly the same position. Though BAE mentoring Fryers is probably a no-no.
