Morning Troops, Leeds Utd have suspended Ryan Hall!!! He is currently suspended pending an investigation. The suspension is understood to be linked to Hall breaking Leeds' social networking code of conduct. The 25-year-old tweeted on Saturday: “Look on the bright side if you’re not getting played take the L out and get payed.” He then added the following day: “Football is such a short career and can end at anytime with an injury so do what ever you can to earn as much money as possible.” Looks like we are going to sign Dexter Blockstock from Forest. Really not sure about this one, when was the last time he found the net. Surely if he was any good, why would a fellow Championship club (with some financial clout) lend him out to another Championship Club??? Are we likely to see anyone head for the exit door? Diouf maybe? Or Poleon out on loan? The position further forward that Austin played for us on Saturday (where he pinpointed two delicious crosses for McCormack and found the net himself) is the position he occupies for Jamaica, and the position he used to play for his previous club. I can understand why McDermott would think he is a good break up player, but if he can put a shift in like he did last week, blimey, you never know....
Morning Elland. I made my feelings clear on Hall before yesterday and yesterday said I'd love to see him sacked if it's possible. I also asked that exact question about Blackstock. Why would forest loan him to us unless he's useless. I have to be more careful than you Elland in case I might give off a few negative vibes and disrupt our new promotion push
Morning all. Really can't see the point of us signing Blackstock. Apart from experience, whatelse does he give us? More to the point and as you say Elland, why indeeed would a fellow Championship club (with some financial clout) lend him out to another Championship Club??? I hope that the only people we send out on loan are those whose time at ER is likely to be up. So David Norris, possibly Green, possibly Tonge. Certainly not Diouf (still a class act & ideal off the bench if he isn't going to start), or Poleon (nothing to be gained by a loan move, better he develops here off the bench pushing for a starting spot).

I'm in agreement about Blackstock as it makes no sense especially as Forest have plenty of cash. Its not like brum needing to offload Burke etc. The only time I remmber when something like this worked was when we bought Max from the foxes. However I like to give the manager the benefit of the doubt as he seems to know what he wants and knows a thing or 2 about players. We all slagged him because of Smith and now eat humble pie, and it seems to date that Hunt is the only bad signing so far. Blackstock was touted as being a special player as he played in all the England teams from kids, youth, under 17's etc. He's scored goals and is quick but Davies doesn't want him or play him? Is he one of the players BMD was chasing or is he poor mans Burke? If Hall is being sacked for twatter then I think its poor, and I hope its for something else. Why didn't the blunts play him last weekend as he had one game left? Austin should be played in his his best position, and just maybe Sunday was the first time the manager has been able to field the team he wants. Maybe he needed Byram back to play on the right midfield which then freed players up to go where they can do damage, like Ross up top etc, even Murphy played better too and Warnock was a revelation. hats off to Smith so still for me.

Re Ryan Hall. Did anyone see him on Dragons Den at the weekend? Apparently he tweeted he was putting on his business hat and would be on it. Hope his business hat is better than his footie one. Was about to post on the Sheff Utd page to see what they thought of him but its worse than the wally one. Hasnt been a contribution since September
Morning all Hall - It isn't as though he is a skilful talented player who can set the world alight, we should just get shot of him. He sounds the sort of guy who might put it one good season and then hold us to ransom over a new contract or threaten to leave on a free Blackstock - Hasn't scored more than 14 goals in a season, a waste of a wage.

Hall probably does want to play for the club hence showing his frustrations on twitter, unfortunately he is not good enough for Leeds and coming back from pre season unfit was very bad. Warnock should never have brought him in in the first place.
I see our Lithuanian is playing in a development squad this afternoon. Will be interesting to learn how he did. If BMD, as someone on here has suggested, is going for 3 CBs & 2 wing back as a way of adding width, it would make sense to get an additional CB. Given that he is already an international and a moneyed side like QPR were interested, maybe I was a bit hasty in suggesting there was no point in us getting him. Time will tell.
