Cant help thinking this thread is a littlw bit early. Need to see what happens sunday. But...I think he is doing fairly well under pretty difficult management. Seems to protect the team from all the nonsense going on above well and we are playing much better football. Also if he was sacked, with this current regime I can only see things turning sour as it is we are doing ok.
How can it be a little early to praise him for last Saturday? When is the time to give him credit when he does well? If his tactics are **** on Sunday and we lose then we'll criticise him for that. I think we can give him a bit of credit for tactically doing well against a division form side who are a fair bit better than us. We're doing about as well as we can expect with our squad. We're still toothless in terms of strikers remember due to a lack of investment. Done quite well with what he has, and I think we've been good to watch in the main. At least we are playing football properly and entertaining.
Agree that it seems to be the perfect precursor to another derby-day humping....perhaps this thread should have waited til Sunday...
Again why would we wait until Sunday to praise Pards about doing well in a game last Saturday? Makes no sense. There will be no time to praise him for Liverpool if we lose to Sunderland. People will be far too busy making sure the nooses are secure.
As Sunderland has become the new dumping ground for managers I can see why Poyet took the job, however his tactical nous will be severely tested when he comes up against St Alan on Sunday. Pardew's ability as a manager is viewed with envy throughout the footballing world and I hope he doesn't start showboating his tactical brilliance by fielding only 9 players against the Mackems to run up a cricket score when a more measured approach using only 7 will give the impartial viewer a more competitive game. I just hope the knowledge of having the entire population of Newcastle idolising him doesn't cloud his judgement. For all new Pardew converts Sunday's goals can be seen on Lube Tube.
I can only see the Mackems scoring if the referee starts the match 10 minutes early and we haven't come out onto the pitch yet and even then I doubt they'll score more than one, I therefore predict a 5-0 victory with Remy scoring 3.
Pouchy, to help your cause and raise awareness St Alan's greatness, I have just set up the "Pardew Is Super Sexy - Official Fans' Forum" (PISS-OFF) for you!
