No need to worry people. If you had to pick one of the 19 teams who couldn't cope with high intensity pressing and movement, it would have to be Fulham Vets.

    No Holloway interview on Sky.

Simon Peach and other journalists reporting that he is in the boardroom with the owners and has not re-emerged yet.

Sounds ominous for him doesn't it, can't really think of anyone decent that is going to want to go there now though.

Harsh if they sack him. Palace chose over the summer to use most of the windfall of their unexpected promotion to shore up their long-term finances; they spent close to 20m, but most of that was covered by the transfer fees from the Zaha and Clyne deals. It was an intelligent decision, IMO, but inherent in that strategy is the understanding that the motley collection of bargain-priced talent (plus Dwight Gayle) isn't likely to lead you to great things.

Sounds like they're looking long term, like West Brom did a while back.

Local press in South London saying Holloway tendered his resignation, but has been sent away to sleep on it by the chairman.

They're going to talk again tomorrow.

Who would want that job?! All the fans come on complaining that they need better defenders. But the truth is to survive in this division you need goalscorers and aside from Gayle and Bolasie they have little threat, no Holt or Lambert.

Probably feels he's done all he can. I don't think Holloway is a quitter, and he's no idiot, despite what certain people say. I think he's looked the talent in front of him, the prospects of getting players in to strengthen, and realised it isn't going to happen.

That, of course, is if there is a grain of truth in that report.

Also a man that historically acts on emotion, so the sleep on it advice is probably quite reasonable.

When he finally emerged for his interview tonight he looked utterly destroyed and could barely answer the questions, crazy what this game of booting a ball about can do to a man!

We are Saints fans you know. Scratch this happy bunch of campers and you'll find the quivering, resigned to despair, waiting for disaster to strike, fans of yore. I needed Fulham to lose 6.0 last night<wah> Where's Gary Neville when you need him?

Holloway probably tendered his resignation because he is an honourable man who takes responsibility. A time for everyone at Palace to start to pull together...the Premier League is tough...you need money and talent to stay in it. What is the worse that can happen...they drop down to the Championship with more money. They can be in for an unpleasant season, but there will be good days when they get unexpected results. I really felt for them last night...they met a not so great team that started scoring great goals and nearly got another towards the end.

Madly touching wood...after 8 games, no one has scored more than 1 goal against us.

I think rumours of Holloway's demise are premature. He was always going to be disappointed after that game, they take a lead at home for once and then two wonder strikes set them back and they end up being embarrassed, you wouldn't be human if you didn't question things at a time like that. They'd be daft to sack him, after all, who could they possibly replace him with? I'm not sure even Di Canio would go there right now.

Haha, well I put the mockers on him there didn't I.

I still think it's daft. They'll never get anyone better in the situation they're in.

His own decision. Wanted to resign on Monday night. He's now doing a press conference on SSN to announce the decision.
