First of all, can I request that we have a sensible(ish) exchange on this one, without it reverting to the bog standard 'Get him out / fat bastard / sell up / greggs' type comments. Thankyou.

So we all know that our owner hasn't exactly covered himself in glory since taking over the club. But as we've seen with South Africa and Northern Ireland, people can forgive the most heinous of acts and move forward together.

So, if you could choose just three actions that MA would undertake now and see through (imagine that he's doing them off his own back), what three actions would earn your (grudging) respect and make you think that he really wanted to do right by the club and the supporters?

You never know, one of his minions might be reading and decide that there's some good ideas....

    1. Back the manager
    2. Invest an appropriate amount of money to help the club move forward
    3) Make sure our key players sign new contracts.

He'd just have to do one thing to win me over - **** off.

This isnt a piss take, I will always think we are better off without Ashley and the only way he can remedy that is to leave.

Don't sell the good players we have/the ones he brings in
Fully sort out finances, though he's done a lot already
communicate with the media and the manager

Stick with one manager for more than a year, i'd be happy to see Pardew build his own team
Keep most of the key players to maintain decent spirit at SJP
Keep up the non interest loans, i actually like him for doing this...

1- start communicating with the fans on important club matters
2- give Pardew the financial backing needed with no interference (including letting him sign up joey and kev again)
3- take that bloody sports direct sign off the stand roof as it makes sjp look tacky...

It was never going to be easy to get over the state we were left in by Fat Freddy. As crazy as so many decisions have been since Mike came in, I'd be more inclined to lay a lot of blame onto Lambias purely because most of what he's said publically has been indicative of a clueless, poisonous character who needs to be let go right away. So on this basis:

    1. Sack Lambias and replace him with a respectable, experienced chairman.
    2. Sign someone the fans want. We fans aren't idiots and know who we could try to attract so bring in a few of the names most Newcastle fans have been talking about this summer. Something to prove that he both listens to what the fans want and has ambition to rise high.
    3. Give us a few years of actual stability. This means agreeing some form of contract with skilled, fan-favourite players such as Barton and Nolan and not sacking the manager every time theres a 3 game loss streak.

    1) Hold on to our best players - break the selling club image.
    2) Keep faith with a manager to give us stability
    3) Just tell us the truth and treat us with respect

I would also say keep up the excellent work re the finances, but as he is doing that already that is already one tick for him.

I could write up a whole list ranging from getting the SportsDirect.com logos out of SJP all the way through to treating the players who stuck by us with more respect. But ultimately only 1 thing would have to happen. Sell up Ashley. Fair enough you have made us better financially but it doesn't make up for all his wrong doings.

Unfortunately I am getting the feeling that the **** is going to hit the fan again, Keegan/Wise/Hughton style mistake soon.

    1. Keep ahold of Enrique, Barton, Nolan, Tiote etc.
    2. Take the Sports Direct sign off the stadium roof.
    3. Give Pardew £35-£45 million to spend in the summer.

Then I would be happy with him as owner, but not sure about forgiving him just yet.

    1) Sack Derek and replace him with someone who will update the fans regularly and who the fans actually like.
    2) Give team full backing, this includes supporting Pardew, renewing contracts of key players, providing sufficient transfer fund etc

I will be very content with just these two.

    Not a lot different

    1. Tell us the truth. If the club has to live within its means, if a decision has been made to get rid of any player on more than £50k a week, if there is some other policy in play, tell us. I might not be delighted but at least let us know.

    2. Once you've told us what the manager is and is not in control of (see above), let him do his job.

    3. Remove the Sportsdirect signs. It soinds minor, I know, but it is an almosgt gratuitous act of disrespect.

Or, if you want the short version: treat the club and those associated with it with some respect. You'll find it is generally reciprocated

Sorry but there's no winning me back for Ashley. This wish list thing is all well and good but you've seen what he can do, he ****s up far too much on too big a scale. He'd never do what we're suggesting so selling up is the best thing he can do for NUFC by miles.
