I said before a ball was kicked that I could see the three new teams plus Norwich making up the bottom four, in one order or another. I'm not going to yet change my mind, although clearly Sunderland would have to start improving. (And I'm not too sure if Poyet is the man for that).

Early days yet , but Sunderland , Palace and Fulham . No way will Norwich go down imho .

Could happen. They don't look great, and we know too well that the drop zone seems to start sucking about half the table towards it in the latter stages. Sunderland fans will claim they've had a horrible run of fixtures, but could get it together as the season goes on. Poyet was a poor choice though, so I'd bet on them going down right now. I fully expect Hull and Cardiff to slip right back down there as well though.

For me its sunderland palace and, erm fulham? Would rather see spam and stoke go down as they bring nothing to the league. I think it could be quite open but for me sunderlands situation is becoming dire.

They are waiting for the return of thier goal machine from injury to propel them up the table

I say we sacrifice a bit part player to give him a heavy challenge late on in our match with them. Fox to go in with a 2 footed challenge to his dodgy foot. Fox sent off at 86mins and Carroll misses the rest of the season.

I can't believe how bad Sunderland. Even we weren't that bad last year! Them, Palace and Norwich for me. I think Berbatov and Bent will score Fulham to safety. Stoke look solid defensively and think that Hughes could do OK with them, like he did with Fulham. West Brom could replace Norwich if they struggle to find goals - they thrashed Sunderland and we drew with them and weren't brilliant, how did that happen?!

Knowing Fox, he'd somehow end up curing Carroll's plantar fasciitis in the process.

While we are bottom three weve played well and our opponents have all been top half apart from Stoke who we beat away. Our start has been a bit like yours was last season.Expect us to pick up now.

Congrats to Saints BTW,without doubt the league's top performers compared to expectations at the start of the season.

Thanks Cruff's Turn, don't worry if you guy's beat Cardiff at home next week the season will begin to look a whole lot better.
Hard to see Norwich being down amongst the dead men at Easter, but its a very difficult league where there really is no margin for error?
