What they're saying about Button is a load of ****. A driver gets in a car and they drive it as fast as they can, they don't look at what their team mate's doing and then try and beat it by the smallest possible margin. Hamilton might've pressured Button into setting the car up more aggressively but that's about it. McLaren would've been able to pinpoint where Button was losing time to Lewis, but judging by the fact he was consistently comfortably out-qualified, he couldn't do anything about it. McLaren do need a better driver than Perez though. I'm not surprised to hear he was Whitmarsh's pick, he was probably more excited about getting one over on Ferrari by nicking their young driver than he was about Perez's ability. Judging by Magnussen's qualifying record he's exactly what McLaren need. Button would be the perfect team mate for a rookie as well I think.
Seems Ferrari young driver Raffaele Marciello is continuing his climb through the ranks. Ferrari's Raffaele Marciello lines up FR3.5 tests after F3 title He is now having his future options evaluated by the Ferrari Driver Academy. FDA boss Luca Baldisserri told AUTOSPORT recently that Marciello's 2014 programme would be in GP2, FR3.5 or a combination of GP2 and the DTM. Marciello told AUTOSPORT: "I've been in this championship for two years, had a goal to win it this year, and have achieved that goal. "Now it's time for the next step. DAMS and Tech 1 are great teams so let's see how it goes."... ... Marciello's F3 crown also ensures he will receive prize tests in a Ferrari F1 car, while both he and Rosenqvist will have DTM tests with Mercedes by virtue of being the championship's two highest-placed drivers powered by HWA engines.
But it is a bargain and a hell of a lot of fun! As a track day car, it is unlikely to come up against another F1 car. It is unlikely that on any given day, anything else would lap quicker (once the proud knew owner, Bando, gets settled inâ¦)
if only I had that kind of money! And yes it is a bargain for a V12 lambo powered car. And this minardi was a points scorer! that's rare in itself! please log in to view this image
Just because I think Alonso to McLaren in 2014 would spice things up I'll do some fire prodding: Alonso “crossed the line” says Domenicali Yes this is a new article despite it seeming a slightly old topic now. Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali made has made some interesting observations in a specially arranged interview with two Italian fans noted for their criticism of the Scuderia on social networks. Ferrari invited the pair to ask the boss anything they wanted. “I have something to say to him, as would be the case with my engineers, I would do it behind closed doors and in a harsh manner,” said Domenicali when asked about Fernando Alonso and Luca di Montezemolo’s ‘ear tweaking’. “But externally, I will always defend the team. When he crossed the line, president Montezemolo intervened and in private, so did I.” Domenicali conceded that Ferrari has not given the Spaniard a good enough car. “If in the past four years we have come close to the title twice, it is partly down to him. Unfortunately, we have not been capable of giving him a car that matches his talent. You compare him to Vettel, but when you have a better car, everything is more straightforward.” Asked what Red Bull had and Ferrari didn’t, he said: “Everyone is trying to work that out. But it’s pointless make accusations if there is no proof. The FIA can check the control unit, and if they find nothing than Red Bull is obviously doing a good job.” The full schbang can be found here: http://formula1.ferrari.com/news/special-day
MWAHHAAHAHAHAAAAAA REVENGE!!!!!!! FA Cup, Wimbledon and the Open... BBC could lose sporting 'crown jewels' over £150m licence fee dispute http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...d-Cup-Wimbledon-crown-jewels-licence-fee.html
Crown Jewel events have to be on free to air TV, so unless Sky are going to start a freeview sports channel they won't be able to buy the rights to them.
It's just a question of money, the UK's infrastructure is owned by foreigners, if we'll sell our transportation systems, our electricity, our communication and our healthcare do you really think they'll stop at sporting events?
bastard'll probably get the case postponed until he's dead, love to see him get stripped of all his assets so I can go up to Tamara and say "big mac and fries please' EDIT c'mon Newey, you cleaned up on the track now clean up off it
If it was only the Daily Mail, I'd be inclined to agree but the tone of the quotes is pretty menacing and follows right on the heels of other threats to the BBC from Tory Party Chairman, Grant Shapps (aka. Michael Green, aka. Sebastian Fox). From the Daily Mail article: So, this "source close to Mrs. Miller": also close to Rupert Murdoch, perhaps? "The licence fee is not a given right any more... If the BBC doesn't put its house in order... We will thrash it out earlier". Wow! And anyway, before long, the BBC will be the only thing left that our patriotic governments have not flogged off cheap to foreign corporations or the French state.
I don't care who gets it, the rich tossers in the BBC who look down on F1 are about to get ****ed + the audience with them. We warned them that this would happen but AH WELL!!!
I was as angry as anyone else when the Sky F1 deal went through but it's worth remembering who imposed the cuts on the BBC in the first place. The current government's agenda is not to force the BBC "to put its house in order" on our behalf, although that's the way they are selling it, it's to privatise it. And, as with our utilities, railways, and now the NHS and more in the pipeline, once it's gone there's little chance of ever getting it back; be careful what you wish for, as they say.
The BBC is in dire need of an overhaul, in particular, it needs half of its overpaid executives to be removed very quickly. But if it becomes privatised then we will lose a great national service. (to say nothing of all the appalling privatised public services we currently have in this country)
