    Alrite guys,

Wow, what a performance by Leeds Utd yesterday. Some would say that Birmingham were poor; I'd say we played brilliantly and did not allow Birmingham the time and space to play.

Austin bossed the midfield, you'd look up, and there he was. Intelligent player. Good balls in the box

Lees made some timely tackles, and some decent clearances. He deserves a starting slot based on Sundays performance. Agree?

Smith for me was man of the match. Two great goals, one amazing Geoff Hurst style half volley that was ruled out when it shouldn't have been, passed the ball really well and got into the right positions.

Wasn't sure about McCormack. He got into some great positions, but didn't look comfortable one on one against an average keeper, though good composure for his goal. Should have scored at least two

Diouf was not playing as he was on compassionate leave.

Hunt was not even on the bench, are his days numbered?

Do we now expect Byram to operate right midfield? How do we think he did?

Lees or Peltier at right back, and why?

Morning all. Agree on all points Elland. Danger for us supporters is well get carried away by this one performance. We need to back this up with a run of three or four wins. If I was a brum fan this morning, I'd be preparing myself for League 1 football next season. They are total rubbish based on that performance. Hopefully we can remain injury and suspension free as long as possible as our bench doesn't look too strong and we have no missing persons yet. Is Huddersfield game on TV?

Yesterday was the first time this season that we looked a threat and a competent side. Having Byram in midfield allowed Ross to play up top, and boy did he scare the crap out of the opposition. Ross could have had a hat-trick before half time that’s how good he was. Rudy was awesome and put in a fantastic shift and even got on the end of a Ross cross to score. So a proper midfield display that had a bit of everything, including skill, guile, hard graft and speed. Defending was brilliant and lees was brilliant all game and so were all the back 4 even Warnock.
For me though it was great to see Mat Smith actually look like a very good player at last. He came to life with Ross up top and he won every ball in the air. He deserved his brace and again could have had a hat-trick. The big worry however is what we do when we have a injury, because this 11 were all in their best positions, and look what we’ve endured without Byram? Mowatt looks ok as well so signs are good at last.

GFH give the manager a few quid to beef up the squad please.

McCormack was phenomenal imo. He didn't finish well for his chances in truth but set up two and was running the channels so well, exactly what we have needed up front. Would be man of the match if he converted one of his other chances. Always available and held the ball up really well, don't think he ever actually lost the ball.

I think I'm the only one that wouldn't give Austin man of the match, he did well but in what was a great team performance he was still sloppy at times with passes and maybe not tracking back enough, I thought Murphy was also sloppy at times although still did some decent work. Mowatt was unbelievable, had one bad miskicked clearance (which in fairness he did really well to get the space to clear in the first place) but other than that was so calm on the ball. He was the difference for me, kept everything ticking and got the ball in such tight spaces and worked his way out cleverly and what a fantastic cross that was, something you would see from a world class player.

I thought the team performed well together and it just clicked with the formation we were playing. Byram's inclusion helped with that. The only player I was dissapointed with was Kenny, thought he should've come out more than he did and often was in no man's land, think he is currently the weak link and have said it for a little while now.

I thought Ross should as a finisher scored at least 2 more dearly loike Burke would have scored 2 but for Lees who had his best game for me MOM Matt finish Smith brilliant don't compare him with Paynter one can hit a barn door from 2 yards and Smith was just awesome in the air and on the ground deserved an hatrick

    Morning all <ok>

A few of us have been talking about giving the 3-5-2/5-3-2 a go, and it worked brilliantly. Byram looks like he was born to play that role. It's important to not get carried away off the back of one good result, but we were bloody amazing, weren't we? <cheers>

Morning everyone. Did we really win 4.0? This is the first morning in a while that I've been happy after a Leeds Utd result. We actually played well and I never thought we'd be beaten, on a down side I had both teams to score... So in celebration I'm drinking my sons cider.............<cheers>

thought the running off the ball ross did was fantastic and caused them some real problems.

Smith was class and the midfield without green in there was amazing :)

Morning all. Fine performance all round. Byram at RM looked good. Flatish 442 also looks the way ahead. Smith up to also looks the way ahead, as he can only get better. Pity Ross didn't get a few more, but at least he created plenty of chances.

Of those that didn't feature (Hunt in particular) must fear their days are numbered. Brown is natural cover for Austin, who might need a break if he runs round like that each week. Mowatt also looked solid, but will need to be managed given the need to ensure he doesn't get burned out. Same applies to Byram.

On Lees v Peltier, undecided. But Lees did play well yesterday. And as for those saying he's not good enough, yesterday showed he probably, although playing more passes along the floor will help his cause.

I would have had a good payday if we had won 4-1, but still covered my bet at 4-0
