How much have we lost in lack of sales of the new home & away kits ? Just curious . Are the numbers that big ?
earrings? lol. I doubt if the Club has "lost" anything, although it isn't the best kit we ever had, there seems to be plenty about.
Thought the shop was selling earrings now Have we lost money on sales of kit? Depends what the target was...you will never sell as many kits if they are issued yearly...most people probably buy them every two years (apart from kids ones, obviously).
Yes maybe most saints fans are loaded because I've seen quite a few wearing the home and away kit this season. The kit has grown on me it's just a football kit at the end of the day! Does it really matter what colour it is?

I think it does, I still wear my umbro flybe one. There has not been one I've liked since and I'm not wasting hard earned money on a kit I don't particularly like.
I don't think it's possible to lose money on kit sales as the manufacturer basically sells them and the club only gets a fraction of each sale, it's not like we buy a load of shirts and then sell them on.
That Umbro/Flybe striped top was nasty. The last shirt I really 'liked' was the red and white striped one from the Championship promotion season.
If someone told me that the Away strip was outselling the Home one I'd believe them. The Away strip is quite classy looking. The Home one is a red thing with a couple of hankerchiefs tacked on each arm. Mind you, somebody must have had a word with Addidas because I notice that the short sleeves are tight to the player's arms, so that they don't flap around like flags. A significant improvement. Also, I can't let a comment pass about the hooped socks - Yuck..! The Away kit includes classy white. Nice..!
I read the other day that we resorted to stripes after we had signed a number of Stoke players in the early days. Suddenly I went off stripes. Footballers wear football shirts when they go to work other workers wear a boiler suit. As I have no intention of ever wearing a boiler suit other than when I am doing some work so I have no intention of wearing a football shirt unless I am going to play football. I used to wear a suit to work but since I have retired I wear a well worn tee shirt and a rather scruffy pair of jeans.
I like to see our fans in kits, but don't want to wear one myself. I'm just glad there are people willing to sacrifice themselves for those with more sartorial taste. Thanks, lads, for taking one for the team
It also makes us look like flies...very apt as we crowd round the opposition to deny them the ball. Surrounding Rooney we looked like flies round ****
