when im reading threads, it shows at the bottom who else is reading the thread and i see quite a few names who hardly ever comments or has never commented before, who are signed in and reading the thread but just dont reply or get involved. this is such a shame. if more people comment then this forum would be so much better. im glad people are visiting the site and keeping up to date on things. thats good that the site is being used for this but its just a shame they dont get involved. i had a comment from someone on twitter say to me that the site looks good but no point joining as too quiet and would be boring. i only get joy out of using this site personally when there is other interaction going on when there is someone else logged on and commenting the same time. just dont happen enough for me. is there anything different you would like to see on the board rhinestone that would make it more appealing to you? (apart from results of course )
CJS - it isnt a reflection on this site - it's more to do with the Rovers at the moment I'm afraid. When I feel the passion and excitement flowing through the club, from the team to the terraces to the crowd etc then it gets my juices flowing and I'm only too happy to join in and add my thrupence worth. However when it is like it is NOW, I get disheartened and lethargic - a bit like the team performances this year, and rather than come on here and sound constantly negative I tend just to read and not comment - sorry, but that is how it is for me at the moment! And Christmas is coming ..... bah HUMBUG!!!

Know how you feel RG..it is an effort sometimes. As a ST holder I've sen every home game this season and sometimes I can't even bear to listen to Radio Bristol on the way home. It's difficult to know what to post because most topics would have a negative slant, then when few bother to respond you then feel disinclined to post...vicious circle.
totally agree. with results, performances, injuries, players out of position, off field issues like gill & kenneth and then you got harrisons rape sitution.... you cant really help but be negative. but we are gasheads. nothing is ever simple with us. we dont have a god given right to be in higher leagues. we remain faithful and true. were rovers till we die. so we continue to torment ourselves watching and listening to rovers in hope that we witness the start of our turn to move up. think most if not all of us just want the players to care as much as we do and fight for the shirt they wear and fight for our club and earn the wage that we pay them. we want passion and commitment and a never say die attitude from them. any hint of good news i would accept no matter how small it is. yes clutching at straws but at times we (i) just need some positivity and hope that it can turn our bad fortunes around. still think it would be good to discuss the good and bad like how a football forum works. i think this thread has been good to be honest
We have been a ****ing shambles for years now. Since Trolls left in fact, and I don't see it stopping any time soon unfortunately. Perhaps a stint in non league football will do us some good. Get rid of all the bad that is currently making this club a shambles in the first place (ie **** players with no pride, certain board members will go, certain fans will stop watching etc) It may kick start the club again...... of course it could totally ruin us as well
CJ, it is purely down to results mate. No one can be arsed to put the effort in when the team cannot be arsed either. Even the official forum isn't exactly full with conversation right now. Imagine what it would be like if we are relegated this season
Surprising really, I've always thought there was more to talk about when things weren't going so well. What's the situation with Harrison, CJS? I haven't heard anything about that.
I've always been a glass half full type, so I'm loathed to constantly criticise and denigrate Rovers, hence not posting much recently. However, after this weekend I just had to have a rant and get it off my chest because we have become tediously crap. It's the same story week after week with no signs of improvement. What makes it so frustrating was our scintillating form at the start of the year with virtually the same players. It makes my ****ing blood boil! In addition, P49 and CJS, I didn't get that job I PMed you about. It was down to me and another candidate and they chose the other, because he had more experience. Bastards! However, I will endeavour to post more often, even if it is to have a moan at Gas incompetence!
You're not alone with your anger and dismay Bb, and sorry to hear you didn't get that job. Also...I didn't realize Gas was that old!
