    How would you rate them?

For me, the wee Honduran at left back's the pick of the bunch and Hooper's got the habit of being in the right place at the right time but that's about it really.

Their only real chance of winning the league is if we tire through our involvement in Europe, watching them against St Mirren yesterday only confirmed this.

Lennons signings have been nothing special, in fact if he monkey head kept the team he had last January, I think I would be more scared! <laugh>

Hooper, Izaguirre and that Kayal boy are the only ones that have impressed me.

Still dont think they'll drop too many points against the other SPL teams, so it's up to us to make sure we win the OF games.

    TN8 - I concur <ok>

They got out of jail yesterday but in fairness so have we a few times this season. I just feel in head to head's we're a much better team than they are but our squad is down to the bare bones and this could be significant unless Walter gets one or two in come January.

I think we'll be ok. By the time the new year game comes round we'll hopefully have a full squad again.

I really canny wait to see Jelavic get a hold of big Glenda Loovens and Baldy **** (copyright S.Naismith!). He'll absolutely ragdoll them all over the place.

I still say they're Favourites for the title.

Bigger squad, less games and with LTSB still in charge of the purse strings, I can't see Rangers strenghtening in January.

This coupled by Walters reluctance to play youngsters means that I can see a 07/08 ending to the season where the 'Gers run out of steam.

    Hope I'm worng though <MUIRMUIR>

7 games to go until Jan 2nd.

Rangers are away 5 times, and Celtic are away 2 times.

We need to go to Killie, Tannadump, ICT, Murderwell, and McDermot with home games against the Diet Huns and St Midden **diet huns copyright Lennon loves it Zonal @606**

Their away games are Accies and Sheep FC.

If we were to into the OF game still ahead of Celtic, I'd be delighted.

Forster - not bad - bit unsure of his punches and postioning at times - but he is young. Good shot stopper though
Cha - alright, good going forward - poor defensively
    Mulgrew - bad
Majstorovic - good, not a world class player but adds presence. Much like Bobo - makes mistakes but makes other Defenders perform better just by being in the team IMO
    Izaguire - Good so far
Ledley - Very Solid. You notice when he's not there
    Kayal - unproven yet
Juarez - i'd have him as right back! Still tp prove he is good enough in midfield
    Stokes - Good
    Hooper - Very good
Murphy - alright - decent sub
Kapo - Dont know what to make of him. Not had a team for so long means he may not play for a while

Best of Lennon though is that he is getting more out of the others that were already there than Mowbray or Strachan could!

Pretty fair assessment overall but I would have to disagree with Big Dan.

Honestly, I think he's ****e and was to blame for Miller's first goal in the OF game.

Looks the part in terms of physique but a bit of a bombscare.

He is a bit of a bombscare but I've got much more confidence in him than I've had in any Celtic defender in a while. Will make the odd rick but looks like he scares forwards, don't think it's any coincidence we are conceding a lot less goals this season (33% of all goals we have conceded were to Rangers!) even if the odd one is a disaster.

Disagree Rocket, yes he's not great but he seems to win every ball in the air which is something we've struggled with the 2/3 seasons before & was exactly the player we needed at the back.

Ledley, Kayal, Izaguire, Hooper & Stokes all good signings & Juarez too - though Kayal was immense the short period he played and Brown was in fine nick too along with ledley who's a class player there was just no room for him & now Ki is getting into a run of form along Ledley its hard to drop anybody to make room!!

Cha has been abit hit & miss but for a free transfer is a good bit of business.

As Anport said Lenny is getting the likes of Wilson, Brown, Ki, Maloney doing what they do best & looking like the good players they only showed flashes of under Strachan & Mowbray.

Overall I've been really happy with his dealings. Even the likes of Murphy is a decent bit of business for £650k as backup - far better than Hutchinson & Sheridan anyway. He's been brave in the market too - spent a fair bit on Hooper who was unproven at a decent level & to get a Newcastle youth goalie on loan & pick him straight away!! But its worked fine showing he's a good jusge of a player <ok>

I think Mastjorivic (sp) is the best defender they have, but thats not very hard. If they had a decent ball playing centre half beside The Baldy **** then they would be much better, but I honestly think Rogne, Glenda and Hooiveld are hopeless. All seem quite panicky with the ball at their feet.

I still haven't seen Ledley do anything of note, and thats from watching Celtic games when their on tv and I'm not playing. In most of the games I've seen him in I've not even noticed him. He looks like a dirty rat bastard as well <ok>

Agree Magic - Loovens & Hoovield are ****e. Our best defender last year was Thompson, is he out on loan?? Rogne has been the best to partner the big baldy one & is only 19 so plenty of time to improve.

I believe that Celtic have a decent scouting network rather than it being down to the manager to pick these players out. Not sure how much Lennon know's of the Israeli youth market for Kayal <whistle>

Big Danny was probably down to big Johan and Forster was probably down to Thommo's links though.

For a 19 year old to be injured as much as he is would worry me. He seems really slow as well, as if he thinks if he breaks into a sprint his hammies will go.

I would always go for a commanding centre half alongside a quick one who can play the ball out of defence without panicking.

Hooper does look like quite a steal, will be attracting interest from down south soon I would imagine

Hooper seems like a Kris Boyd type player which we've been lacking for a while.

Simply because he's English we'll probably get a decent offer for him.
