Kind of Hobsons choice at the minute I guess but we do need a change of personnel at some point, or else we are just going to get the same pile of rubbish performance and awful attitude week after week. Time to introduce a few more of the new signings now and see what they are made of. Wholesale changes maybe not but 4 key changes in Diakite and Roberge at the centre of defence; Dossena at left back; Karlsson and Cabral in the midfield

    Westwood

    Celustka, Diakite, Roberge, Dossena

    Cattermole (c)

    Karlsson, Ki, Cabral, Giacherinni

    Fletcher

Subs from: Mannone, JOS, Cuellar, Colback, Johnson, Gardner, Borini, Altidore, Wickham, Ba, Larsson. (not the brightest bunch of subs to be honest)

I don't care how they train or look in training, I just want to see a change and a bit more pace in the team. Karlsson can score and Cabral looked in the short time we have seen him to have a shot on him too.

    Any thoughts?

Brown is an injury waiting to happen for me. If he were fit an able to last the game I'd play him but you can just see us having to waste a substitution after 30 mins when he is crocked. Maybe he could be on the bench for a 20 min shore up the game if we are leading? He cant be trusted to last a full game imo.

I'm yet to be convinced over Cabral however can he really be any worse than those who have played in midfield recently

I have no idea about him either but I know Larsson, Johnson and Gardner are not the answer for sure.

Looks like its jobs for the boys here too? Same as it was with Bruce, ONeill, PDC and Ball. I'm all for giving a defence a good time to bond but it has to be the correct back 4 to start with and ours is leaking goals at an alarming rate for the past dozen games.

Come on Gus. Give yourself a chance and change the old slow players for some younger pacier ones.

We need to stop shipping goals so id go with three centre backs and wing backs.

    .............................Westwood.................................
    ................Diakite... Brown........Roberge...............
    Celustka...............Cattermole...................Colback
    ................Giacch.........Ki........Gardner.......................
    ..............................Fletcher ...................................

I think this would make it difficult for teams to break through, it gives Giaccherini a little bit of freedom when we are attacking.

I actually like the shape of that formation fella. My gripe would be that Gardner can't pass and Colback has nowhere near enough pace to be a wing back. I reckon Celustka could play wingback but we'd need a Left wingback specialist in Jan. I know that Dossena used to be a wingback specialist but at 31 would he have the pace and engine to play the position?

Id have Dossena in at lwb if he was fit and maybe have Colback in place of Gardner.

At least that lot might give it a go!

Still worry about Dossena's age for that role. Like I said, I love the formation. Danny Rose is injured and could struggle to regain a place. Could the man in January to fill the role. He's got wingback written all over him.

I would be happy with Forza's 1st 11 or Grandpops team but ffs NO O'SHEA, LARSON, GARDNER, VAUGHAN, BARDO etc anywhere near the 1st team never mind the bench. Sack the f*ckers or report them to the Trades Descriptions.

We could play 10 defenders & still ship goals as we can't defend set pieces. Simple as that. Once we do then concede the heads go and the flood gates open.

Sort the set pieces out & pray we take the lead against the mags & we have a chance.

Any kind of win could kick start our season. Long term, well we know what we need.
