so we didn't sign anyone in the summer ?

would you rather have signed a load of crap like Sunderland, or Remi ?
 
Why does it have to be a choice between a load of crap or Remy? Surely theres a vast array of players in between who would have added to our squad. Not so long ago, Pardew was saying he needed two new strikers - well we got one on loan (a very good one indeed). Where's the other one? What happens if Remy is injured? What happens if Colo is injured? Oh yes, that happened on Saturday didn't it and look what happened there?
 
While I think the protest was pointless and a bit silly, I do wish we'd bought a striker in the summer. What I'd give to have Demba Ba through the middle right now.
 
Meanwhile, Ba has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea and was linked to Arsenal, West Ham, Newcastle and Roma as the transfer window drew to a close.
