Glazerfodder's thread "How long will moyes get" and I immediately thought, how long will gazerfodders thread get not long it seems I mean Matth's VG you beat me to it and got it right too
f uck it, rant time. our '' fans'' have pissed me off the glory hunting twats, wanting moyes sacked, w ankers, i hope they finhd another team to support.
But at least we can see the model of whight be with Klopp at BD - are you seriously saying we should just all hang on and wait for us to play like Everton !! That is Moyes default setting, otherwise Everton would have adapted and evolved during his tenure - they didn't.
I've supported this team since the 60's and saw my first match at Highbury in 1966. I have supported all of the managers.................up to now
utd have a hodgson muhahhaaa moyes won't last. no way he will get another season If you don't finish in top 4. well played Ferguson.... well played son.
One of the world's finest clubs that could have planned the appointment of any of the top international football managers and we let SAF blind the board to appoint a mid-table nobody - worse still we pay star money for a mid-table donkey. Rene got it bang on when he said Moyes made a great cruise boat captain, but Utd are an ocean liner.
I'd be questioning Moyes' mentality rather than his managerial capabilities for now. Let's be frank, Man Utd are in the top 5 teams in the world, boasting a title winning squad and years worth of dominance. Now Moyes has came in, massive boots to fill in Ferguson, of course impossible to replicate what he has done. It's his decisions that are more bizarre than anything, like his substitutions today, why would you change the CB pairing in the last 10 minutes? Why is he alienating Kagawa? Now I understand any new manager needs to put his own stamp on the squad, be his own man and make his own decisions, but surely if you're managing players like Rooney, Van Persie, Nani, Kagawa, you'd play to Uniteds obvious attacking strengths? Carrick was immense last year, you got that strong DM you needed in Fellaini, you have two good AM's in Januzaj and Kagawa, this is a good squad he has, considering he's touted as being "cut from the same cloth" as Ferguson, you'd expect at least some identity in your team. I think it's a slippery slope, once that doubt starts to creep in, it's hard to get fans on your side - Especially if teams like West Brom and Southampton (Who are good sides) start coming to Old Trafford fancying their chances.. You have to keep that ruthlessness that was evident in Ferguson's reign, the fear factor. That was such a massive advantage you had, all them late goals you nicked, the sheer dominance you had in the last 20 minutes of games you were losing etc.. Moyes needs to start getting this across to his team.
To be fair the only shock result so far has been the home loss to WBA and the City match was embarrassing. We have not looked great but I don't think we are anywhere near panic time yet. It has been disappointing but let's all get a grip.
The man's own telling words today....."We had the opportunities to go 2-0 up. They had been knocking on the door but I thought we would see it out. "But if you don't defend a corner well enough, there's always a chance they will score. We had a couple of good chances where we could have finished them off and if we had scored a second it would've put the game to bed, but 1-0 is always a dangerous scoreline." FFS - "see it out" !!..that is his problem in a nutshell, too defensive and thinks 2-0 is job done, not our philosophy at all
surely you mean first 4 or 5, he didn't do **** until the foreign money arrived from Ireland. oh, Glory Glory Micheal Knighton Glory Glory Micheal Knighton
