I'll be more concerned, but probably, yes! Arsenal have been quality all season so it's no real surprise that it showed today. Cardiff haven't, but there's nothing to stop them having their best 90 minutes of the season next week, and we might have to just hold our hands up and say: "They were better than us". Over a season though, I'm convinced we're a better side than Palace, Sunderland, Hull and Cardiff.

CH has done what the majority has been howling for, playing more positive.
The downside is that we are likely to come unstuck against the top sides, with players who can pick us off, almost at will. Results like this will not feature every week, that's for sure.

Having said that, I do still wonder where the goals are going to come from.

My god! Canary Call has someone moaning like hell about us being too negative off the back of today's game and calling for CH out! Clearly has not seen the last 4 games we have played - sheesh <doh>

We have a great opportunity for 3 points next week, if we grab them then hopefully the natives will rest a little easier.

    Gooner in peace.

I don't know if you tired badly or something, but up until the 70 minute mark, you were right in that game, you gave us far more of a challenge at that point than Napoli managed, so that's a positive for you. Your goal was pretty nice too. Good luck for the rest of the season anyway.

If we beat Cardiff next week we will be 2 points clear of the relegation zone. I was amazed at the way City outplayed Arsenal at the end of the first half and again in the first 10 minutes of the second half when possession was 58%-42% in our favour. Howson scored a good goal and made good runs throughout the game, as well as linking very well with Fer and Tettey, who were both immense in midfield.

    Can I ask a question?

If we only take a point from our next 3 games or less than that what will people people think then?

There were two turning points in the game.

1 - Flamini going off, which gave Norwich the initiative as Arsenal lost their shape a bit.
2 - Ramsey coming on, combined with Hoolihan coming on for Tettey, and left us a little more exposed at the back.

Ramsey is a man possessed this season and needs drug testing <laugh>

Fair play to Arsenal, it was clean game with no controversy (unusual in games between us), and you guys had the class to tear us apart in the end. This really could be the best season for Arsenal for many a year, so good luck for the rest of the season, with 1 exception of course <ok>

I'm not expecting anything from Man City away, so Cardiff and West Ham home, less than 2-3 points from those games would definitely concern me, but we're still pretty early in the season, so it's the nature of the games that would influence me. If we play very well, and are undone by poor reffing, a moment of quality, or a goalkeeper playing a blinder, fair enough. If we're dreadful, can't keep possession and don't threaten the opposition goal, I'll be concerned.

For God's sake Kempy, pack it in! Look at the way we've played against Arsenal and Chelsea and THINK before you post!

As one is away to Man City, we can write that one off

That leaves Cardiff and West Ham at home. If we get 1 point from that, then to my mind, CH is close to being shown the door (and that is not me saying that is what I want to see, because I think he is getting their, just slower that most of us would like)

Good fight from you lot, scoreline flattered us (we took advantage when you ran out of steam) and some encouraging signs from the Canaries

Tell you what! Let's sack the manager! It worked so well for Sunderland!

I'd love to know what magical tactical formula the naysayers would've liked to have seen from us today.

Giampaolo Mazza quit as San Marino manager and only got 1 point over 15 years in charge, think we should hire him :p

It's not a good feeling when our team loses and in the bottom 3, but I'm more encouraged about our performances and think against teams around us we will start picking up points.

Arsenal and Chelsea are only first and second in the league respectively! We should be beating teams like that especially Arsenal away from home!

    Exactly!

Our last 4 games have seen the 4-3-3.

1 win at highly rated Watford (okay, in extra time)
    1 win at Stoke - A rarity
2 loses, against 2 of the best teams in the league (one of them is a top European side)

Up to a point I do kind of agree that if we play well next week and don't win, then we may well have a problem this season but you never know. We went on a crazy 10 game run last season against the odds, it could happen again.

Where's carrabuh when you need him??????

No, on 2nd thoughts, let's not do anything too hasty and see how many points we have accumulate by Dec 31st. I'm sure DM and the board will be more concerned if we're still in the relegation zone by then!!! <ok>

Wasn't that the same substitution? The Tettey sub removed some of our defensive bite.

I still maintain that 1st December is the key date. We have 3 winnable games at home Cardiff, West Ham and Palace before then. If we are in the bottom 3 after that time, then I would not be surprised if the board took 'appropriate' action.

Pretty much, and perhaps should be called in to question.

My gut feeling is that CH wanted to give some support to Hooper, sadly it backfired, as indeed it did expose the back line and Ramsey took full advantage. Do I blame him for it - certainly not. We were on top and not looking at all uncomfortable but it was a game changing substitution, just not for us.

It's okay to be critical of CH for that, and yes he does carry the can for it, but I don;t think it was unreasonable under the circumstances, as were behind anyway, and chasing the game. For that I give CH quite a lot of credit <ok>
