They should have. They weren't the better team but had the chances to have the game wrapped up well before the end.
How the **** is it negative to expect a defeat at Man United? After all, we were centimetres away from losing. Rooney and Van Persie hit the bar which would have won the game for them.
A superb result! I must admit i've secretly hoped for an upset, but considering how the game unfolded, I couldn't be happier with this point. I thought Lambert should have started the game, not because Rodriguez is a bad player, but simply because i feel this game Lambert would have been more useful player from a tactical point of view. Lallana and Lovren were immense and it's no suprise. Our best players this season so far? I think so. Osvaldo had a disappointing game. Boruc, one again, superb.
If most people expected a point, then they wouldn't be as happy as they are. It's a very, very good result - not an expected result. We're not better than United just yet, no matter what the table says (after seven bloody games).
Thought that when I saw your original post, there are are a few on here ready to analyse it to death.
Even with United struggling, there are no teams in England that ought to go to Old Trafford expecting a point.
Moyes got his selection and gameplan right. He decided to exploit free spaces left behind our high line, and it worked, that's how they scored. But later on, he made some ludicrous substitutions and gave us the opportunity to get back into the game, which we did.
Having seen a post-match BBC interview with him, and taken in context of the questions, it's a lot less dramatic and the stark sentence. Still don't quite agree with him though.
On the way back now! Was sat in the players family and friends section just in front of the Stretford end.. Was so hard to stay quiet when we scored!! Moyes lost united three points today. They were comfortable until he took fellaini off. Lambert changed the game for us completely when he came on, thought he was brilliant. Lallana was great, and I'm starting to think that Clyne is our best player. He was immense again, tireless and always in the right place. To be honest though, the whole team were great today and we definitely deserved a point, I think it was the right result. Credit to the saints away support as well, could hear you the whole game. COYR.
