http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...si-Benayoun-wanted-QPR-Leicester-Watford.html ... it is The Fail mind....
"He was in talks with both Premier League team Crystal Palace and La Liga outfit Getafe but in both cases the contract on offer fell short of Benayoun’s demands." Game over.
Maybe he wanted 2 years or more and they were only prepared to give hime one - would expect that for Palace ... he'd be good for us, very tricky and creative ... but has had a lot of injuries ...
Hes not likely a Pearson player, including the fact he'd want to get paid more than hes actually worth.
I think he's a great player who I think has possibly suffered because of his nationality. Even at 33 he'd be an excellent addition to any team in this league, but I agree large wages would surely spell QPR. Their squad is ridiculous.
You don't play 123 games for Liverpool, 24 games for Chelsea and 25 games for Arsenal unless you can play a bit, I'd have loved us to sign him. He's now gone to QPR.
I agree with you - I'd have loved us to have got him - he's a player that can unlock a defence with both his individual skill and also his astute passing ... shame but I guess QPR were always going to be favourites ...
its nice to see teams like QPR going all out for promotion, because if they fail, they will be in a load of trouble next year.
??? is this a missing caption competition? I'll go for "The Kettle was singularly unimpressed by the Cyberman's fart" ...
QPR's wage bill must be massive already, can't believe they keep trying to add to it. Dread to think what Redknapp's on.
