I know we are a good side, but felt we were in a false position in 4th (though was willing to enjoy it)...now I truly believe. I stayed calm as I thought we would probably not win...when we scored I had to turn the tv off and take my heart spray. I really shouldn't be a football fan
Paulo Gazzaniga on Twitter: "Que grande Southampton!!" - with image of a love-heart and a 'perfect' hand gesture
well done, if you asked a stranger who was the home side they would probably have said you guys, you deserved alll 3 points yet alone 1.
Really hope Moyes finally does a good job, but his subs were really strange. Fellaini was getting hold of midfield. Loved it when JWP and Shaw both tackled Giggs as he is older than both put together. Chuffed with the result, Osvaldo on his own does not work and RL should be a starter with Osvalso
Oh obviously he'll never play for England. We're not in Schengen so we don't have all the EU benefits. Dunno if that actually makes a difference to him though.
Schengen's only about open borders, i.e. you still have to show your passport and pass customs to get into Britain, but it doesn't have an effect on residency or employment rights or anything. It is obvious he won't play for England of course, but clearly that was the angle of the question...
He needs to play Kagawa. Or sell Kagawa to us. One or the other. Fellaini might want to be a holding midfielder, but he's much more dynamic further up the pitch...Man U have a slightly odd group of personnel at the moment, with Rooney/Fellaini essentially dictating their position, and it ain't working.
Good point but it's nothing more than I expected. I think we'd have probably won if Lambert had started but there's no point dwelling on it. I said I'd be disappinted if we lost before the game and I was surprised to get some negative replies. We were the better side over 90 minutes in my opinion and fully deserved a draw at the very least.

Reading this conversation has reminded me... I believe Morgan has been asked this question before, when the nationality issue was last brought up. IIRC, his answer was that he's French through and through and will only play for France.
If he ended up unemployed he might need that nationality to stay here but yeah obviously I'm taking this discussion well off its intended course.
Oh for goodness sake. How can you expect a point at Old Trafford? I went into the match expecting to lose because it's frankly naive to expect a result at Old Trafford.
Before the game I felt that the selection was the right tactical one, but in hindsight I think the Lambert/Rodriguez substitution may have worked better the other way round, with Lambert starting and Rodriguez replacing him later on - I didn't think Lambert had very much impact on the game when he came on.
Our next 3 league games: Fulham (h), Stoke (a), Hull (h). Don't see any reason why we can't take 9 points from those games. I'd take 6 or 7, but 9 points is definitely there for the taking.
