    An accurate description and it's really annoying me that I can't remember the name.

    The one in the station was called Shakespear's.

    Of course! And Shakesphere was the one in the Station. I'd just found them on the link you posted. How do I forget the names of these places. In the early 80s I spent every Saturday wandering from those 2, to Syd Scarbs and HMV, as well as any of the aforementioned record fairs. Don't know how many singles with the middles missing I've got in the loft! Also bootleg stuff (on vynal and cassette) that cost a fortune and generally turned out to be crap! <wah>

    About 50 miles away in Doncaster!

    I remember buying records at Boots and been handed one of those carrier bags, then having to hide it in another bag so none of my mates saw it and took the piss!
