You,ve been there or seen them on the box, or just a football ground buff! Some of them figure when u see the colour of the kits if the team are shown. Personally thought i would have got more, but went to about 5 of them, which reflects on my p*ss poor score
Makes you wonder why the Vetch Field isn't included. I went there yesterday, football fields don't get deader than that. Not even a statue or a memorial sign. It's only If you look at the park from a Googlemaps perspective, one can see two places where the grass can't grow properly. Then you realize where th goals must have been. It's like going to the cemetery...
From google maps, the two area's where it looks like the grass isn't growing, is not where the goals used to be, the goals used to be east and west, the northern part where the grass doesn't seem to be growing is the back walk area of the north bank, and no wonder the grass struggles there please log in to view this image
The council had to bring in a team of specialists just to remove 2 feet of soil where the "toilets" were.
