I don't think he would, and right now (given our diminutive midfield) we need more of a Giroud type to win balls played forward in the air. This is just typical, this player is better than that player, nonsense. You cant consider players or their records without considering the team, and in this case the team is not set up for a Hernandez type striker. Even if we signed Messi, he probably wouldn't be playing as a lone striker, he'd be back on the right wing, just like his early days in Barcelona.
Messi, Costa, Soriano, Alan, Ronaldo, Sturridge, Riviere, Cerci, Falcao, Sam, N. Muller, Lewandowski, Ibisevic, Djordjevic, Kiebling, Modeste, Gartler all have a goal ratio of 1.5 -0.6 goals per game so far this season (all of them playing approx 10+ games). Then factor in players who would have better stats if they were regular players - Dzeko, Negredo, Suarez etc - Hernandez too maybe.

Thread: Who would you rather see win the league: 'Pool or Gunners? , .........by the tool known as HIAG to paraphrase " i know .come the business end of the season neither will be there .... " Ironic coming from a supporter of a team which bottles EVERY " business end "of the season ..
Anybody see the flare that the spurs fans threw at the linesman ? The FA will probably want to take action regarding that
Villa can consider themselves to be unluckly to be behind at HT. They played the better football in the first half, Spurs were laboured and we lucky to go ahead against the run of play.
