Bergkamp thinks as a footballer and understands how to get the best out of the game as a player, and that helps to make him a good coach too. He's also perfectly placed to take over Liam Brady's role at the club - and I think the time is perfect to bring him back to Arsenal.

He's is an Arsenal man, like Adams, Keown, Parlour, Ljungberg and Henry before him, but he's also developed his skills in coaching with Ajax and has experience managing youth teams. He's not dissimilar to Wenger either in that he favours a skillful attacking style of football - and you have to think that Wenger will be thinking about his successor soon.

I know it sounds way to early to call it, but could Dennis Bergkamp be being lined up to be the next Arsenal manager ?

In an interview he said he can't be an Arsenal manager because of his fear of flying, so it would be impossible, as manager he would have to do lot's of traveling.

Damn shame. We could get UEFA and the FA to make a special provision so all our games are played at the Emirates <whistle>

Really good interview with Bergkamp on Football Focus, definitely worth watching again when it comes up on iPlayer. He's keen to come back to Arsenal one day, I hope it's sooner rather than later.

In my opinion this was his best ever goal for Arsenal, the vision and skill to execute this move is world class.

Bergkamp as Ozils coach. If ever there was a way to make Ozil even better that has got to be it!

Heard some reports on Twitter that Bergy might be given a role in the youth setup

DB said himself thatwas he NOT going to quit Ajax for the next few years, so cool down guys. He was talking about possible distant future. Probably Wenger wil not be with the club then.

I think those rumours may be because Liam Brady is retiring at the end of the season

A good idea bringing back one of the Invincibles back into the fold. It will also give Arsenal a more long lasting identity, especially when Arsene leave.

I'm surprised he's never looked into it tbh (I assume he hasn't?)....imagine if it was all that stood between you and possible management of your favourite team....
