I call them all young uns. My youngest has just turned 16, but it was his older brother(think you've met him, he got arrested at a game)
Yeah I met him, great lad.took me some time to understand him tho I met the youngest aswell, think he was poorly. And another one who was over with his mot.
I'm as old as they get, even older than Irishshako, but wasn't the word 'possy' really used in the UK & Ireland, after Steve Wright in the Afternoon on Radio 1? I know it was a word, and used in America, but he surely made it what it is now. Anyone else remember, Mr Angry from Purley, my hero.
Boab Mr angry was feckin class Possy,a group to help the sheriff,in the wild west,as in round up the possy?
Was a radio 1 DJ,steve wright in the afternoon I think his program was called. Had this bloke mr angry, who would just rant about anything, was funny as ****,maybe a bit dated now. He wasn't to pc either
Mr Angry was a character on Steve Wright in the Afternoon on Radio 1, he was very funny and always 'angry' with people, councils, society and the law. Steve Wright went on from where Kenny Everett left off, and some of his characters were simply superb, a drug filled Keith Richards will stick in my mind forever. Mr Angry was from Purley, near Croydon and as someone who lived in Croydon for quite a few years, I was very familiar with the middle class angry dad, who would complain about everything and anything.
I remember S.Wright, he did Top of the pops. Sounds brilliant. I thought K.Everett was good, but I only remember him on TV.
"Once Britain was an empire, and we were ruled by an emperor. Then Britain became a kingdom, and we were ruled by a king. Now Britain is a country, and we are ruled by Margaret Thatcher". Mr Everett on live radio in the 80's, the BBC sacked him for this comment.
Unbelievable, I had 6 up in my 7 team accy tonight and Glenavon(N.Ireland) 2nd v a team 9th are now losing 3.2 at home.........
Kenny Everett comedy genius (how did he get away with a character called Cupid stunt?), Steve wright hmmn not my thing. Butting into this thread as I met the guy who did the voices of mr angry and other Steve wright characters on holiday about 15 years ago. Quite a nice guy when sober, bit of a nightmare after a few shandies. Started goosestepping in a bar full of German tourists before threatening to punch his wife, when she suggested he tone it down a bit. A large kick boxer we were hanging out with ended his evening abruptly at that point. Happy days
