you all know my views on paul tisdale. if he ended up at ipswich i'd be absolutely gutted because the guy is brilliant, absolutely brilliant. to be fair, ipswich is exactly the sort of club which tisdale himself would be looking for as a next move and be perfect for. your owner, despite his obvious faults, seems pretty patient and with little-to-no money to spend on players, tisdale is precisely the kind of person you'd require to build on the very good ground work (although that's all it is at this stage) mick mccarthy has laid in place. to say he 'hasn't won anything' is both ill-informed and and missing the point anyway! forgive me if i'm wrong but wasn't sir bobby appointed ipswich manager off the back of being relegated with fulham? karl robinson is another good shout and in a similar mould to tisdale (although i prefer paul).

as for dickie dosh at cambridge, it would be great to see the u's back in the football league. it's been too long. always been a good lower league manager but not sure you should be appointing someone like that based on a good 15 games. would remind me of the mark cooper move to posh.

We were extremely lucky to find these extraordinary men at the time we did and I very much doubt that we shall see anyone with their quality here at Portman Road again!

Thank goodness we are just indulging in mere speculation as I can't see anyone around at the moment who would do any better than MM in rebuilding this team. And of course when I say anyone I mean being realistic!

warky, do you ever watch any of these teams? i think if you did you'd have a little more a) respect and b) interest in these guys being possible future managers for your club. these people don't get talked about for no reason you know! its cos they've got something. all they need is the right job offer to come along. personally, i think if mccarthy leaves any time soon (i think he'll go in the summer, with or without the ireland job) evans will go for tony pulis. he'd fit like a glove after mccarthy.

He will miss out this year as well <ok>

There are too many teams that are stronger in League 1 this year.

Burley got us promoted in the end <ok>

Out of the crop of fresh young managers I would be happy to take Eddie Howe and was sad that we didn't make an approach for him last time round although it would have proved to be futile.

I would be happy to put a Tenner on it mate!

I have a mate who is a MK Dons supporter and even he reckons that Robinson is not up to it!

Highly respected former EADT football reporter Dave Allard has come out and said that MM will see out his current contract which runs to the Summer of 2015. Dave Allard has spoken to Mick in an interview and he is 100% on this!

I see some things never change, Warky shouting everyone down and contradicting himself!!

Would have liked Tisdale amongst others before MM's appointment and would still like him, do it now before someone else snaps him up and its too late , thats what i say!!

I'd love to think this is spot on. Mick is doing a top job and hope he sees it as a work in progress and wants to see it out. Preferably with a promotion. Talking of successors I hope is premature but we probsbly know the the ROI will attempt a move for him. But should the worst happen I'd quite happily take an up and coming manager like a Tidsdale or Howe.
