Fingers crossed they sign up. Brown I can admit I wouldn't mind either way but reckon he'd add a lot and could mentor the younger lads, the other two would be class additions.
Yeah I mean everyone from the chairman to the tea lady knows we need four things: numbers, experience, goals and quality. If we get the Utd trio, N'Gog, Larsson and Westwood, that's numbers and experience added. After that we can focus on quality and goals. A top striker and LW at least, with probably more to follow. The sticking point for me is IF we get them in- I'll believe it when they are all on the site in red and white!
http://twitter.com/#!/caulkinthetimes Worth following through the transfer window usually very accurate.
Yeah cumulative experience of 30 years and around 600 games for the English champions. We signed your reserves in Taino and Malbranque a few years ago. We've stepped past that now.
Agree mr. safc. These 3 will bring the experience & mental toughness we sadly lack. Couple of bosmans + quality signings will see us onwards & upwards imo.
Has Wes Brown actually played many games in the last 2 years? He's another crock IMO who will spend more time keeping Gordon and Campbell company than playing. Big no from me. Gibson? Cant really comment as I've only seen glimpses but why sell our own home grown talent just to take a gamble on Man Utd rejected young players? If Gibson was that good why did Liverpool not snap him up too? Totally unmoved by this one either way. O Shea I do like to be fair and would add to the squad greatly with vast experience all across the back 4. Selling our best and replacing with cheap, older alternatives however isn't my idea of club building its merely consolidating and just hoping for the best again. These kinds of players are utilised in the first years of a manager, not one going into his 3rd year. This is just poor judgement again for me.
