    Just back from a lovely birthday pub lunch...melt-in-the -mouth mussels, sea bream with prawns, scallops and butter sauce, washed down with award-winning Hampshire ale. This evening Mrs H is cooking rack of lamb and there's a very good Crozes Hermitage to go with it. I think I need a bit of a walk before we get onto that, as there is also smoked trout to start and poached peaches and Jersey cream to follow. The cheese may have to wait until tomorrow!

    Talk about service - I've bought a Jersey RFC away top for jerzeypie and the woman in the club shop is delivering it to my work on her way home. They are in the 2nd tier of English rugby, just as WFC are in the second tier of English football - I bet you wouldn't get anyone from the Hornet Shop delivering something to a person living in the Watford area on their way home from work.
