Great observations Yorkie. It's from these that I can now see why Brix used to say, '' I reserve the right to change my mind from week to week. ''
Some fans decide that once they dislike a player, that's it as far as they're concerned. No matter what they do or how well they're playing they will only pick up on the mistakes and vice-versa with a player they like. I sometimes cringe when an old thread gets bumped back up. It's as bad as seeing an old photo of yourself, ( Aren't all photo's old? Ed. ) or hearing the sound of your own voice played back.

The easy fact to overlook here is that we are playing very well and look a very solid team ... I agree with Col where he has mentioned more or less ... does it matter!!! ? things are going well for us

Myself with my views on players currently out on loan ... it's matters not a bit they are other clubs for reasons we can only guess at

My point is that we now under the control of Harold and he currently smells of roses

We maybe nit picking just for the sake of it today ... I believe that this is of course due to our failure and disappointment and what it means to be a QPR in 2013

Faurlin has been a wonderful player for us and is on his own QPR journey ... I can't understand how anyone has look to knock him really

Mackie slid away but went from us with his reputation intact because he tried ... but in the past he was awful as some mentioned yet escaped

Zamora looked likely to become the new hate figure but alas he is injured and safe from the fans ... i doubt if the majority would care in a vote if he never came back ... my point? Austin could go exactly the same way if he runs dry

Yet do we look inward to attempt to discover what is exactly happening to Mr QPR fan? ... Do we take stock of where we are at in all of this? What are we turning into? What do we want?

Isn't just being QPR enough? ... It seems not for all of us ... me I have doubts about Harold but all the time we are winning how can i deny he is doing a great job?

Faurlin is a wonderful player and it would be nice to think that like other clubs we begin to love our club and players again rather than slag them.... I stand that Harold at times has only shown he is here for himself but with success even he is beginning to grow QPR giblets ... Our history shapes us its understandable but i hope we get back to giving our club the support again ... look at other clubs say Liverpool what a fall but they are there and support win or lose ... in terms they have their souls still intact and i give them all the credit they and the other top clubs deserve ... Am I wrong? look at Arsenal for fickle fans and maybe United now

Is it all about thick and thin?

I think it's in the nature of football affinities, similarly with political affiliations, to take an entrenched position and then to defend that position, sometimes in the face of convincing contrary evidence. Most of the posters on this board, myself included, are guilty of this to some extent. It takes a strong man to admit he is wrong. For my part, I was wrong about Richard Dunne. I'm right about everything else though.

Excellent posts Yorkie, Nines and DT (and more too).

Yorkie, what's wrong with "in Harry we trust"? Should I use "I" instead of "we"? I for one do and never have mistrusted him, but as Nines refer to with Brix, I reserve my right to change my mind in the future.

DT, what a wonderful and well constructed post, sums up my feelings exactly. Thank you.

I'd like to say something about Zamora too. He gave us the greatest player performance bar none during our two year stay in the Premier League, in our 2-1 win at home against Arsenal. It was 90 minutes of pure brutality, never have I seen a centreback pairing being manhandled like that. It was breathtaking to watch.
That is what he is capable of, and he showed it several times during his first 5 months with us.
Now all of a sudden he is a donkey, useless and worse. How? Why?
In my opinion it comes down to piss poor management of his injuries, something that 100% isn't down to the player, here is where the club comes in and is to blame. He wasn't fit to play last year, and he definitely wasn't this season. Hindsight is 20/20 they say, and Zamora should have gone under the knife as soon as we escaped relegation at the Etihad. But probably because of his high wages the club found it better to delay and delay it some more. All Zamora has done is try his best under horrible circumstances. It's embarrasing hearing all the **** he gets.

That's also a very good post Norway. I must admit that sadly I've been guilty of speaking badly about Zamora on here in the past. I decided (a while ago) to take the decision of not posting on a negative thread about any individual player or member of staff unless I have something good to say about them.
I've learnt that it really doesn't help in any way, and doesn't make for good reading.

It would be pretty dull without any negative posts. Negativity can be constructive.

A very good point, well made too Stroller, and it's one that I completely agree with. It's just a personal choice of mine at the moment. Sometimes it's good to just kick-back and take a backseat and just read through all the conflict without contributing. It's a bit like people watching. This is something I especially like doing at airports if I have a few hours to kill.
If everyone decided to do the same as me then I would probably have to construct a negative post otherwise this forum would die pretty quickly. For now, this is my choice and I enjoy reading all the comments that I can, good or bad, I embrace them all to my fair bosom. I might decide to change this stance though after Saturday. That's my prerogative. I'm fascinated how two people watching a game of football can see it so differently. Marvellous.
