How do you know Harry got rid of Adel??? Maybe the player decided he wanted to go. If the loan was a permanent deal, then it would be fair to suggest there was a parting of the waves. I'm not suggesting for one minute that Adel will return but we as a club have not got rid either. I trust Harry's judgement. None of us know who decided what or who wanted what. It is pure speculation to say that Harry got rid. Lets concentrate on players we have here now rather ones who are playing elsewhere.
Oh come on we all know AT is not Harry's type of player. Yes, it takes two to tango, but could you imagine Harry fighting to keep him ? I think not. I'm not putting AT down, I just like the style of players Harry has at the club now, and AT would not fit into that, at least the AT as we have known over the past few seasons.
Having read Warnock's book and specifically his comments about Taantrum's lack of respect, arrogance, unreliability and tendency to go AWOL, it is little surprise to me if Redknapp wanted rid. Let's face it, he needed to weed out every player from last season's complete and utter disaster whose attitude sucked. If you need revolution and not evolution to change culture - as was the case during the close season - then how could Redknapp justify making Taantrum the exception and clear out the other bad apples. Sure, he was the star of the show three seasons ago, but that is ancient history. If, on the other hand, it was Taantrum himself that wanted out, then what choice did Redknapp have? He needed to get rid of those that didn't want to be there. The fact that he's gone to Fulham on loan and not on a permanent transfer is neither here nor there; Redknapp needed them out however. If a loan just defers the problem for a year, then so what? Working with the squad he has today is the priority and the rest can be dealt with later.
I saw Rodney on a celebrity come dine with me thing once. In my defence he was the only reason I watched it. He got his daughter todo most of the cooking in advance, and still cocked up the last bits.
Awjm...totally agree with all of that and that is all we have been saying for the past 2 seasons. great talent but cant do the rest so will end up no-where Sad to see him go - no because he wouldnt do the work for himself and the team. Yes because he has skill to burn. We ( The "tabs Haters"?) have never doubted his ability only his application and profesionalism...is that a word? Once harry turned up he was over. He was amazing to watch 3 seasons ago in the NPC i agree....the rest has been a slow downward spiral into obscurity. Such a waste. So whilst i appreciate that he gave many many people (me included) loads to cheer about 3 seasons ago, its time to let go! PS..just for you SB its pissing down today !!
I'm just jealous mate, as I have to put on 3 layers plus an aqualung to walk the dog.........for what it's worth I reckon Perth has the best climate going. Shame its such a pig to get to.
No-one goes there mate..full of Jocks...!! Oh rain just stopped, time for my bacon and mushroom sandwich for brekkie !! Adios
The answer is probably, no, Col! But it's always good to hear from a Ranger's legend, even if Rodney's off the wall sometimes. Agree with you about Kranky. No consistency yet, but the raw talent is there.
He was also in the jungle in I'm a Celebrity. Outspoken and sexist to the last, a man who reached his heights when "politically correct" were only words used around Westminster. Still, in these days when men are being told its insulting to a pregnant woman to offer her a seat on a bus, it's quite nice to hear from a dinosaur every now and then!
