I appreciate this is a sensitive issue but is 'racism' not going too far. I wouldn't of thought old Woy meant anything by what he said yet people are going mental. Kick it out want an investigation launched. Why not just grow up and realise you will get offended at some point in your life even if the person didn't mean to cause offence.
To constantly worry about saying certain things is a bigger problem surely? That's then making an issue of the colour of someone's skin. I for example think both Bale and Samba look ape like, Difference being that I wouldn't be crucified for saying it about Bale.

If people keep crying over every little comment then we run the risk of diluting the issue when something genuinely racist takes place.

It's all a farce.

However, it's jobsworth fckwits like this Piara Powar, executive director of Football Against Racism in Europe (Fare), who told the BBC that Hodgson had got it wrong.

What is ironic is this guy has always had controversy around him. He's Asian and once called another Asian guy a "coconut" (brown outside, white inside) via Twitter. So the tw@t couldn't deny it. He also was 'too' involved in the Rangers race case not so long ago...when it turned out he was a Celtic fan and used FARE to bring a case to UEFA. He is to anti-racism campaigns what Bin Laden was to Muslims. I cannot abide or stand people like that.

I agree it is an elaborate joke (hence I want more because Woy seems a right character despite his public profile). There is simply no racial connotation or offence there. It is actually very flattering to Townsend. Its not particularly flattering to Smalling, but I'm sure he understands that Townsend is better to placed to do the attacking work than a centre half playing right back. All he has meant is "Smalling stop trying to get involved in the attack, they can't handle Andros, give him the ball"

I do think there is a traitor in the camp though and they should outed. I think the rest of the squad should decide his punishment. Maybe a Full Metal Jacket type affair where they all put their soap in their socks and beat the **** out of the treacherous bastard.
